Publisher's summary

I’ve been pulled from my home planet, forced to acclimate to this foreign world.

But now, I’m being pulled to Nora.

With every glimpse, with every chance meeting, my dragon rages with carnal need, driving me to the brink of madness.

She’s been able to hide her lineage from the humans here on Earth.

But I know the secret she holds close to her heart.

She’s a dragon princess from my homeland.

And keeping her safe is my utmost duty—whether she likes it or not.

When evil forces cross the boundaries of space and time to hunt down the last of Charok’s royal dragons, I’ll do everything it takes to protect her.

And claim her as mine.

Love the Protective Dragon Shifter!

This is the second book of this series I have listened to. I absolutely love the complex world this author has created for these dragon shifters from another planet who were pulled to Earth without their consent but are now trying to make the best of it. The hero at the core of this story is a protector in the best sense; like many romance readers, I've got a soft heart for a good protector story. Make him a shifter, and that really adds to the fun. The hero is a dragon shifter, as is the heroine. Back on their home planet, she would have been a dragon princess, but she's now a scientist here on Earth. I love their meet-cute in the book when he jumps in to save her from her horrid newly found “in flagrante delicto” boyfriend when he becomes menacing after their breakup. Their first date is all things sweet, including when he encourages her to fly with him after dark. Aww, be still, my paranormal romance-loving heart! There was one aspect I didn't like about this book, and it was the same thing that annoyed me in the other book of this series. Namely, the heroine flew off the handle because of his persistent protection of her. She didn't ask for explanations, even though they had gotten close. Her gut instinct was just to kick him to the curb and move on. I don't like it when heroes or heroines do that; even if they struggle with what's going on between them, they shouldn't just give up on each other on the turn of a dime. Of course, his misgivings were correct, and she was in far more danger than either imagined. Despite this issue, they were lovely when they were together, and I love how they came together again in the end. Of course, that must happen in any good romance! A good listen.

Dragons

Book 2 in the series. Nora and her family are hiding, living on earth after escaping Charok. She is a botanist at a local Uni. She is really a dragon, but hides that part of her heritage. Kieran is a security guard at the same Uni, and comes to Nora’s defense when she gets into an altercation with her boyfriend. Kieran believes she is his fated mate. Surprise, there is a dragon hunter on earth, here to hunt down the last of the dragons. This was an interesting and entertaining story. It is well written, with good characters. The narration was well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Entertaining

This is book 2 in the Shifters Between Worlds series. This is a Kieran and Nora story. Yeah more dragons. Both Nora and Kieran are dragons from Charok. Nora is one of 4 eggs of the queen that were rescued and was sent to earth. Kieran recognizes her for what she is and he is determined to protect her at all cost. This is an entertaining story and the narrator did a good job.

Great World Building

This is the second book in the Shifters Between Worlds Series. I like this series. The world building is great. Kieran and Nora's story is entertaining. Kieran is handsome, protective, and supportive. I liked his determination. Nora is independent, and impulsive. I liked the mystery, the action, and the twists and turns. Ella Sonali did a great job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to the Royal Dragon Daddy, the next book in the series. Nora and Kieran, great story

The second book in the Shifters Between Worlds series, Nora and Kieran’s story. A well written steamy story with a very good storyline that flows smoothly across the pages. I enjoyed listening to this story on Audible. The voice of Elle Sonali brings the story to life with its drama, suspense and romance. I found it to be well worth listening to.

I Enjoyed It

I enjoyed this book. Good world building. I really enjoyed the fantasy setting opening with the evil tyrannical wizard. I was into it enough It felt a little jarring at first when it changed to modern time because I wanted to stay where I was lol I really liked Nora. Her cheerful and positive attitude warmed me to her right away. When she catches her boyfriend cheating on her and she tries to leave after confronting him and he gets physically violent, I really disliked that- in spite of her shock- she made no move to fight back despite being a dragon and I would think stronger or as strong as him. She needed a man to save her. I also hated that she didn't want to report him, or press charges- which I notice happens in other romance books, too for some reason. I listened to a couple other Meg Ripley audiobooks, but those had bear shifters. So a dragon shifter book was nice.

I listened to this audiobook narrated by Elle Sonali. She spoke clearly and I loved her voice for Nora. I also like her voices for the wizards in the beginning. Her voice for Kieran was okay.
