About this listen
Thirteen of the 27 books of the New Testament are traditionally ascribed to Paul. Although Romans is not the earliest of Paul’s writings, like Isaiah and Matthew, Romans sits at the head of the epistles and letters. Written as a formal argument and structured as a scholastic diatribe, Romans presents Paul’s great thesis that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works of Law. This is revolutionary! Romans, perhaps more than any other book ever written, has fundamentally changed Western civilization, and it is foundational to understanding all of Paul’s other epistles and letters. Listen closely as Logos Bible Study’s Dr. Bill Creasy explores this extraordinary work.

The most important words ever written are the Ten Commandments. These words changed the world when they were first presented at Mt. Sinai to Israelites, and they are changing it now. They are the foundation stones of Western civilization. Given their staggering importance, you would think that all societies, and certainly our educational and religious institutions, would be intent on studying them closely. Sadly, this is not the case.

Mathews-Green provides commentary and explanations on everything from how to "venerate" an icon, the Orthodox understanding of the atonement, to the Lenten significance of tofu.

Editorial reviews
Dr. Bill Creasy of Logos Bible Study uses a literary, historical approach to examine and enliven the bible for modern listeners. Dr. Creasy draws on his studies, travels, and personal anecdotes to depict a vivid picture of the works of scripture. Somewhere between a sermon and a college lecture, he delivers these audiobooks with authority but a pleasantly friendly voice and a touch of fun, using contemporary references.
In Dr. Creasy’s view, the Epistles to Romans is not only the most important of the 13 books attributed to Paul but of all of the New Testament’s 27 books. Though not chronologically his first work, it systematically lays out the thinking that the rest of his work draws upon. He discusses its context and teachings in depth.

Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
The 10 enlightening (and often humorous) lectures of Medieval Myths and Mysteries will show you how far from the “dark” times of legend these centuries were. Uncover the facts about the Knights Templar. Reveal the truth behind the tales of legendary creatures like the Questing Beast and the unicorn. Trace the events of the Black Death and the ways it altered the world in its wake, and much more. With Professor Armstrong, you will dig deep into the ways that later generations reshaped the narrative of the medieval years and perpetuated the myths.

A wonderful lecture series!
This is another great lecture series from Dr. Bill Creasy. He is always incredibly insightful and engaging. He often supplements the material with personal stories which are relevant and interesting. He has taken several trips to Israel and the Middle East where he visits the locations depicted in the Bible and he shares those first hand accounts which enables him to take you back to that point in time that the scripture is talking about.

Enticing reading of Romans
Romans is full of gems from what the Gospel is to our responsibility within the family of God. Dr. Creasy does a great job expounding upon Paul's thoughts and applying them to our time.

Another new FAVORITE
Thank you Bill for being such a gifted teacher. Romans is my new favorite but of course I say that after every book! I started from Genesis and just finished Romans and can't say enough how much you have changed my life! I listen to you night and day whenever I have a chance and I'm not busy with my husband and 12-year-old son. I'm surprised how much time I can find when I am hungering for the Bible and your witty and incredibly knowledgeable development of every sentence!! Blows my MIND! Can't get enough ever!!! God bless you always and thank you! God is so good! Sincerely, Michelle Flanagan P.S. Getting to the holy land is now TOP on my bucket list and I pray it happens someday, sooner than later!!
