About this listen
Since becoming immortal after the destruction of the Roman Ninth Legion he’s kept his secrets. Killing off vile humans and protecting his unusual family are just two of them.
Now... he wants to be a better man.
To curb his impulses... and the boredom that comes with the monotony of eternal life... he joins Michael, the Church’s top assassin, to hunt down monsters.
Great serpents, rogue jinn, and vampire assassins. With each new hunt Sen begins to realize he’s not just saving humanity... but his own tarnished soul.
Little does he realize the monsters are hunting him, and his efforts may cost Jo, his partner, her life...
The Fisher of Time series is contemporary urban fantasy and includes international settings, crime, historical events and characters, all in a world inhabited by immortals, supernatural beings, and science so strange it can only be magic.

Interesting Premise
This story interested me due to the Roman legion with supernatural connections element. The story was interesting but failed to connect at all levels. To be fair, I listened to this on Audible and it was narrated with virtual voice and the voice didn’t quite differentiate the male and female characters very well which may have hurt the story some. I’m still interested in continuing the series when the next book is released.

Not worth your time
The dialogue is still fit and wooden, and rarely moves the story forward. In fact, I found the entire book to be rather grab. Interactions between characters lead you lacking character development is weak, and none of it is aided by the virtual voice.
