About this listen

USA Today bestselling author Callie Hart delivers a twisted and edgy new interconnected standalone dark romance, featuring a girl with nothing left to lose and a broken boy with a heart as black as his soul.

Want something? Pax will take it from you.

Love something? Pax will destroy it.

Love him? Heaven help you. You’d have to be the stupidest person to walk the face of the earth.

PAX

I don’t do complicated. I sure as hell don’t do love. With graduation in sight, I’ve made it almost four years at Wolf Hall without getting tangled up in BS with girls.
I especially want nothing to do with her:
Presley. Maria. Witton. Chase.
The timid little mouse with the red hair, who can’t even look my way without hyperventilating. She’s nothing to me. Beautiful, sure, but I’ve had plenty of beautiful women.
I’m perfectly content ignoring her…

until her life is suddenly in my hands.

PRES

I’ve loved him from the moment I laid eyes on him.
The cruel, inked anarchist of Riot House.
He’s wicked, and he’s cold, and there’s nothing good left in him.
I fear him almost as much as I crave him.
With only a few weeks left until graduation, all I have to do is keep my head down, and then I’ll be free; I can leave Mountain Lakes and my obsession with Pax Davis in my rearview mirror.
But the demons I’ve been hiding for years now are growing restless…

and Pax is thing that will keep them at bay.

This is not an act of kindness.
Not an act of love.
Not an act of forgiveness.
You'll find no redemption here.
This is the final riot.

Act accordingly.

Riot Act is a standalone book in the Crooked Sinners Series and does not end on a cliffhanger. This audiobook contains dark content that may be considered triggering for some listeners.

Raw, Intense

Overall, the story was angsty, wild, and heartbreaking. narrators did an excellent job portraying main characters voice and multiple same gender voices that we can differentiate from main and secondart characters.

Loved all three books!

But this is by far my favorite! I won’t say too much but I seriously loved this book. Narration was excellent and it was well worth the credit.

Loved it!

Even though Pax is a belligerent jerk, you can't help but love him! I do hope we get an "All Grown Up" 4th installment. All of these characters are too colorful for it to end here!!

Great End

Love Callie Hart and her dive into topics that are darker. Pax was the end to this trilogy! It was great seeing someone with such a stone exterior and interior, in books one and two, become a whole human…..well a whole human in a Pax Davis way! Bittersweet to have it done.

Feelings

I really loved this book. I'm usually underwhelmed with audio books but this story and the heat. Perfect levels. Not over the top but done so well. Happily surprised! Not spoiling anything but there is one glaring item that will have you why isn't anyone acknowledging this huge miss. Don't stop, keep reading. Trust the process. I almost stopped, glad I didn't.

Riot Act

Riot Act is the 3rd book in the Crooked Sinners series. This book is about Pax and Pres and is told from both of their points of view.

Something happened in the past and every time Pres would see Pax she would get nervous and couldn't talk around him. One night in recent time something once again happens, and Pax is there to help Pres. She realizes he isn't as scary as she originally thought.

As Pax and Pres start hanging out Pax realizes that Pres is hiding something. As Pax gets to know Pres more he wants to know what her secret is. Can he figure out why she did what she did when he helped her. Pres doesn't want Pax to find out. They are just having fun, however, feelings start to grow stronger for each other.

Can Pax figure out what Pres is hiding? Can he help her through it? Will Pax and Pres relationship survive everything? I loved getting to know Pax and Pres. Each one had their own battles they were going through, but they ended up helping each other in the end.

Oh Pax Davis

Pac was just chefs kiss, he grew so much, even when he was mean he had his reasons and Presley took him by storm and put his butt in his place 😂 so many LOL moments. My fave for sure of the series
