Full of ideas!
No doubts that although retirmenet is something that many people look forward to, it does come with its own stress and challenges. The author breaks down the important topics to consider and work on before taking retirement. There is a lot of focus & emphasis on being financially secured.
The section about leveraging employer retirement plan is amazing. As an HR person, I cannot tell you how many employees miss out on this plan. So I hope this section will be an eye opener for many!
The emotional and social sides of retirement are also discussed and the author shares various tips.

Finally Retirement Feels Attainable
I’m in my mid-50s and used to panic whenever I thought about my future finances. This book helped me understand how to build up my savings in a doable way. I appreciated the clear breakdown of different investment choices, making it easier to pick options that match my comfort level. Now I’m much more confident about what lies ahead, and I’ve even found ways to cut back on everyday expenses without sacrificing too much. Gave My Parents a Clear Starting Point
I grabbed this for my parents, who were worried they were way behind on retirement planning, and it turned out to be a huge help. The advice on balancing what they already have saved with what they still need felt down-to-earth and realistic. I liked how it broke down tricky topics like Social Security timing and protecting savings as they get older. They also appreciated the section on handling healthcare costs, which always stressed them out. Now they feel more in control and have a plan to enjoy their later years without constantly fearing they’ll run out of money.

This book definitely helps when you are reaching this exciting time in your life, but it is definitely an adjustment.
