About this listen

One minute, Casey Shea was minding her own business, doing her job, teaching entomology to college students, and the next she was in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle fighting for her life.

Troy “Beatle” Lennon has watched his friends fall head over heels in love, but never thought it would happen to him. Until he sees a picture of his teammate’s sister. That was it. The absolute joy in her eyes calls to him in a way he can’t understand.

But that joy is currently being threatened by an unknown person who had Casey kidnapped and hidden deep in the jungle. It’s up to Beatle to find her and keep her safe until the threat can be neutralized. Surviving the dangers of the jungle turns out to be the easy part.... Staying ahead of the killer is much more complicated... and deadly.

Rescuing Casey is the seventh book in the Delta Force Heroes series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Non Stop action

What a story! The action is non stop. Once I started listening, I didn't want to stop. I really enjoyed the part with Annie. Great ending. And I cried. Listening to this story instead of reading it really brought the story to a different reality than just reading. I would recommend getting Audible for Rescuing Casey.

Great listen

Great story with lots of action. Good addition to the series. Bloom as always is great as the narrator. Can't wait for the series to continue.

The story was a little off, but overall I liked it

Casey is a bug geek on a studying trip in Costa Rica with a few students when they are kidnapped. Her brother, Blaze and his Delta Force team are able to follow her path and save her from additional harm. It becomes clear that she and the other students weren’t taken for ransom, but it’s not clear why and realizing that Casey is in danger Beatle and the team work to ensure Casey is safe until the threat is neutralized.
Beatle is drawn to Blaze’s sister, Casey from the beginning. He doesn’t know how or why, but after seeing pictures of her and listening to Blaze tell story after story about her, he is hooked. Surprisingly, Blaze is 100% in favor of his team mate dating his sister..who else would you trust with your sister. Once they determined who the threat is, Casey and Beatle can give their budding relationship 100% of their attention.
I enjoyed the book. It was simple and quick. The only thing I didn’t like was the reason behind the kidnapping. The story seemed stupid. I mean, I understand that everyone isn’t wound tight, but the reason and the person behind the kidnapping was just.,stupid. Overall I still enjoyed the book even if it isn’t one of my favorites.

Good book

I like the stories, too open bedroom for me, but like the stories. I like that Susan stoker puts scenarios that our military goes through and how to deal with them. would like to hear the stories from a male narrator instead of female. or have both male and female.

This one surprised me. It seems straight forward but has some twists I just didn't see coming. I have found most of these stories have a sort of formula with the detail changing but structure the same. This one does as well. The various details keep me interested. As much as I hate bugs, this intrigued me start to finish.

🙈TARZAN CLAIM JANE!🙉

🔹Just the pros n cons- you decide!

🔹I have mixed feeling about this book!
Although I LOVED the thrilling jungle potion of this book..."nails in the dashboard" exciting the first 1/2 of the book! I was a bit disappointed with Uber alpha lead male - Troy aka: Beatle. He seemed to be a "TOOL" and was very aggressive, horny, and crass in my opinion! UHH!

🔹I really LOVED CASEY'S Character! She was clever, Mac Gyver sharp, independent and highly intelligent! Poor Casey had been through hell in the jungle and all that Troy could think about was “claiming“ her! Really? This book was a big turn off due to the nature of Troys crass personality and devil may care “public hard ons”! Zoinks! Troy acted like a raging 13 year old school boy not a Gallant Delta!

🔹I was also disappointed with Casey's bro - Blade (Aka: Aspen) another TOOL! Aspen practically gave Casey away to Troy in the jungle on the big rescue mission. (hogwash!) She was not a possession!
Perhaps they should have allowed Casey to make it out of the Jungle ALIVE and get back to her life in Florida...and then asked Casey on a date. Just sayin!

🔹Due to the exciting first half of this book, I give Rescuing Casey 4 stars.
I didn't care for the 2nd half (especially the Phycologist / hypnotist scene. UHHH!) and only could give that about a 2 star max! Because....Casey went from being super smart woman to COWERING at the female phycologist that just shows up in her driveway and was completely rude! WHAAAA? I wouldn't have let the Bee-otch in my house! Who would??

🔹Once Casey and Troy finally "got together" I was very happy with their love connection. Troy was completely in love with Casey and was very supportive! I was rooting for both characters (of course!)

🔹I understand Troy is a Super Alpha Male - a bit much for me, but Im glad Troy truly cared about Casey!
I wasn't groovin on Troy's lingo. He seemed to have a caveman vocabulary - like when he commented on Fletch's wife (Emily) being" Knocked up", and "its about time" ...and other CRINGY comments as school boy would use.
Troy seems much more immature than Casey, and I was not SOLD that these two completely diff characters would actually have a love connection! Im so happy they made it work - Kudos Susan!

🔸Great job narrating Stella! You are da BOMB!

🔶 Namaste Stoker fans!
