JAYDEN BARRON

Twenty-two-year-old artist Jayden Barron is summoned home from New York City by his father to assist in the family business of painting and selling replica art to international rogue buyers. Nothing prepares him for what he encounters when he arrives. His entire family is missing.

Those his father has been dealing with rarely return missing people alive. The family attorney sends Jayden out of the country for his protection, straight into a haunted castle with a singing ghost who leaves him lilacs in the middle of the night. Fortunately, the castle also has Harlan Wendell.

HARLAN WENDELL

An affluent, generous, 32-year-old German translator, Harlan Wendell has every material possession he could want, but no love in his life. He hires young Jayden to recreate his family portraits lost in a fire. It isn't long before he realizes that Jayden is much more than an employee to him, and they begin a relationship that fulfills both their desires.

When events take a dramatic turn and secrets are revealed, can Harlan protect Jayden and their love?

loved it

I loved this book. James Talbot's voice really brings this story to life. Jayden Barron is a 22 year old artist. He helps with the family business painting replica art. His father wants him to come home but when he does his family is missing. The family lawyer sends Jayden to another country for his protection. He is sent to Wendell Estates and meets Harlan Wendell who hires him to paint his family's portraits he lost in a fire. They both start falling for each other but will the obstacles in their way destroy the love and happiness they could have?

No. Just no

I am actually a fan of the author. Their stories tend to be short and cute. I just keep forgetting that I am not really a fan of this narrator.

Every time I tell myself that he isn't bad and actually he isn't, I remember that he is just not for me.

This book was just not my cup of tea and I DNF.

It was given to me by request for my unbiased review.

Very cute story

Definitely leaves room for more books but it's a cute over all book. Hopefully we'll see more from this cast of characters?

Was not for me

From the blurb, it gets you into a totally different mindset. Yes it is my fault that I didn’t read any reviews, but I saw that this was up and I grabbed a copy . Then I started to listen to it. And our Mac comes home expecting to have dinner waiting and he goes into detail about not eating so he can eat his pot roast and calling out to his mom and dad and checking the kitchen to see that the stove is off and checking the to see the meat was marinating and then started calling everyone’s cell and there is no answer by anyone. I was like WTF am I listening to. Then things happened that I really couldn’t have cared less happened. And then all of a sudden it’s a D/s book. Not to mention the whole abused ex that left Jayden in the hospital and Harlon not having the patients to take care of him and ease him back into a healthy D/s lifestyle. And don’t even get me started with party with the underaged boys. Though apparent,y it’s okay because they will wear special wrist bands. I just couldn’t with this one and DNF
