About this listen

The Lost Ranger: Alex discovers he has been dropped in the middle of an ancient struggle for power, in a land where magic replaces science. If he can survive the near future, he has the potential to become a great wizard, feared by the very people he needs to protect.

Dragon's Teeth: As the newly appointed Lord Protector for Windfall and Mage Apprentice to the Wizard King of Great Vale, Alex Rogers had taken the role of a lifetime. Combined with his pending marriage to the half-nymph Lady Cassandra, he had more on his plate than he could ever hope to accomplish anytime soon.

The Dark Paladin: After vanquishing Tantalus and freeing the dragons, newly married Alex Rogers was looking forward to some time alone with Cassie, his wife. The two even talked of a little getaway for a honeymoon before he returned to his duties as Lord Protector of Windfall. Unfortunately, the forests and cities of his old home was not the destination he hoped for.

Good but not great

Travis Baldree did an excellent job as always. The story is good but it's not a masterpiece either. Definitely worth the 1 credit for the set.

Love the Jewish dwarf

Being I am Jewish from New York when Alex ran into the dwarfs speaking all the Jewish slang words it sounded like I was at a family reunion I couldn’t stop laughing. If nothing else that makes this story great to me.

Exciting storyline

I really didn't expect to enjoy this as much as a I did. Felt a little Gary Sue. But somehow the story drew me in. Plus the reader is excellent.

Entertaining

Predictable yet entertaining story. If you enjoy straight forward stories with white heroes saving white damsels in distress then this will not disappoint. Not many plot twists or real tension but the author captures the world and heroes emotions well.

Great series and glad they are released as a set!

This is a fast pace series. There is not a lot of character development/backstory nor scene set up. However, it is still enough to enjoy and see a constant plot progression. A simple read and a simple classic fantasy story line with a smug of contemporary direction that puts some freshness to the story line in book 3.

Great story made even better by Baldree

I don't remember how I came across the boxed set, but I was so glad I did. I enjoyed the story being brought to life by Travis Baldree as the narrator. He keeps my attention as he moves the plot along. Excited to listen to the next Alex Rogers story.
