Publisher's summary

I hooked up with a red-hot stranger while running for my life.
Bad idea.
Then I discover he’s my brother’s best friend—the one I’ve always wanted to punch in the face.
Even worse.
Now I’m his fake fiancée... and actually loving it.

Hunted by a gang for knowing military secrets, I flee to my small town for safety.

Along the way, I need... relief.
Enter a tall, impossibly delicious hunk with a body that could make a six-pack look like a twelve-pack.

Yum.

We have a passionate fling that leaves me craving more.

When I get home, I’m stunned to find the stranger is Mike Hunter—billionaire hockey star and my brother’s neighbor.
I didn’t recognize him because the little Mikey I knew is now very, very big (wink).

As danger closes in, Mike claims me as his fiancée.
I’m starting to prefer him as my protector over my trained Pitbull, Diesel.
Turns out, I’m a sucker for a hot guy flaunting a sinfully irresistible hockey stick.

Our fake relationship feels less fake by the day.

But if I reveal my secret double life, will he still want to make it real?

Standalone. Guaranteed happily-ever-after. No cheating, just pure, heart-pounding love.

has potential

this story has potential to be a really good story. there are several parts that make no sense...like how you don't recognize someone you grew up crushing on your whole life. or how you've spent 10 years being a bad ass agent but you forget things like a rookie. or how you miss being tailed or don't do a background check on the "new" guy. all these things conflict with being a bad ass agent. the story has potential, but it reads like the author is a newbie. I look forward to checking out more books to see if the writing improves.

beyond AI narrator, still bad.

This starts out with a stupid move - a first date she met online even though she's on the run. Random hookup would have made more sense. Fake fiancé subplot means nothing and has virtually no impact on the actual plot. Characters go back and forth from talking about how much danger character is in to joking and eating pizza and being totally care free. It just doesn't flow as a story.

The recorded voice YIKES!

I wondered how this story would go with a recorded voice. The answer - awful. There is no intonation by the reader and I couldn’t listen very long. Hard to tell what the characters were trying to express when talking. If you think it would be fun to read a phone book - you may enjoy this audio book.

virtual narrator

I was enjoying the story very much. The virtual narrator just made this book too annoying to finish. If it is released with a real narrator or narrators, then I would love to listen to it.
