Mostly a sales pitch for his aviation School.

The one thing I learned was that you need to do your ground school first before going to flight School. beyond that it's mostly a sales pitch for his aviation School.

This is a very brief but valuable intro to what is takes to get one’s Private Pilot’s License.

Wish I had listened to this before I started flying lessons. I’m 25 hours in, but am taking a break to take Jason’s advice and focus on Ground School and get that certificate. He also recommends getting a medical exam before flying, specifically because you’ll be throwing money away if you’re not physically cleared to fly. Well worth a quick listen if you’re considering learning to fly!

very helpful

I'm looking into aviation as a new career in my 30s. I'm typically a good self researcher but it's confusing putting together what you need to start. This book was very helpful in "getting a grip" on the situation and finding a starting point. the ending 2 minutes were very heartfelt and what I needed to hear. highly recommend.

Disappointing

I wish I could say that this book was worth the money, but I'd be lying if I did. Spoiler alert, the big reveal here is, do ground school before you start flying. There really isn't much in the way of substantive data in the book, just a very basic overview of how planes fly (a quick internet search will tell you all this and much more, for free). Apart from that, you get some whimsical quotes, the rest is just the author shamefully plugging his product line...seriously, felt like an infomercial.
