I enjoyed it

This was a pretty good read. A combination of Jurassic Park, Predator, and Dino crisis. I'm very glad I took the recommendation from DangerVille! I'm very much hopping the rest of the series is to be released in audiobook, I'd buy it and listen to it!

Primitive War: Worth Your Time

Dinosaurs eating humans in the Vietnam war. You may think the premise is too silly to make a good story, but you may be pleasantly surprised if you take the time to read it. It's very realistic in its portrayal of mental illness, how the government would respond to a situation like this, the dinosaurs themselves, and war, The characters are deep, the dinosaurs are awesome, just listen to it. if I had to critique one thing it's that the excuse for dinosaurs being in Vietnam is very lame. Other than that, I heavily enjoyed this book and I cannot wait for the audiobooks of primitive war 2 and primitive war dispatches.

The darker Jurassic park

Honestly read the graphic novel first (art is amazing) and wanted to explore through audio book as well. A great story with people who act like people. The greys of the world are evident and truly hope the sequel is as good.

Dread & Gravity

I loved in the most morbid way possible you really feel the just bleakness of being hunted and nobody is coming to save these people ....its was also a very raw war story which you don't hear very often ....the narrator is a absolute banger you instinctively connect that voice to the setting and he does a good mix for the characters

Spellbinding

The Primitive War series has a kind of magic that ensnares the reader from start to end, and to have June bring that magic to life with his spellbinding narration is a pure delight.

Everything, from the innocence and excitement, to the sheer depths of horror and dark adrenaline have been painted in vivid, sometimes haunting tones.
The accents bring forth a new life to beloved characters, and fresh emotions to unforgettable moments.
I once again feel like I’ve run every step and felt every pang and emotion alongside the unforgettable characters I’ve grown to know and love like family.

This is an absolute delight for old fans and an intoxicating gateway to ensnare new ones to the fandom.

I sincerely hope there will be more audiobooks to come in the not too distant future!!

Has the spirit of the Crichton Jurassic Park.

I found this to be a well-written and enjoyable book. The way the dinosaurs were portrayed really impressed me at some points and made them into believable monsters. The book is set in the Vietnam war and as such, some portions have nothing to do with dinosaurs and are DARK. The book has good character development and looks at topics like PTSD, Schizophrenia, and substance use at a time when these subjects were just starting to be recognized medically. It does a good job of exploring what it is like for the soldiers going through the war as well as the current situation which may not be for everyone. However, It was very well done and the prehistoric creatures were great. Like Chrichton's books, I would say it leans more to the side of science fiction than science fantasy. One example is that the raptors have feathers and the way they use these feathers makes them much more terrifying with them than without them. I wish the newer Jurassic Park movies could have taken some inspiration from it. (Also, If you were a kid in the late 90s to early 2000s and played the Capcom game Dino Crisis, you will probably get some feelings of nostalgia while listening.)
