About this listen

Top-rated radio personality Laura Ingraham is fed up with cultural elites on both coasts telling us how to run our lives. The American people are fed up with moral relativism, politicized education, open borders, fiscal excess, and a feckless foreign policy - to name a few issues. In this new audiobook, Ingraham calls on her millions of fans from red-state America to send a loud and clear message to the liberal elites: "You're fired! It's our turn to run our lives again."©2007 Laura Ingraham (P)2007 Recorded Books LLC Anthropology Conservatism & Liberalism George w. bush

Critic reviews

"Ingraham's commentary on the lack of education in our schools and the 'pornification' of the culture contain her most sound, articulate arguments (bolstered by a wealth of statistics)....fans of her strident radio show should be pleased to find more of the same here." ( Publishers Weekly)

Well Said

Ms. Ingram has said what many of us conservatives feel. In particular I enjoyed the last part of the book wherein she speaks on having faith and openly displaying that faith.

Power to the People - Via the Grace of God

What did you love best about Power to the People?

An enjoyable, informative perspective about America and how it is changing within our lifetime. Laura Ingraham is a Conservative Christian who views the changes as red flags in the areas of family and faith. Power to the People also warns her audience about the loss of people's power that trends toward a loss of liberty, the quality that defines America. Laura's strong Christian faith is evident as she tells about its emergence during trying times in her life, the death of her mother and Laura's bout with cancer. She concludes that the people's power is not "of" the people but "to" the people, suggesting it is given by the grace of the only power, God.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Laura Ingraham, because this is her perspective, an educated opinion, that is closer to the Truth than not.

What about Laura Ingraham’s performance did you like?

Her honesty and eloquence in sharing the Truth and her understanding that God is what make us great as a people and a country who praise God through our love of freedom and liberty.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

Laura's advice to young girls and knowledge of the pressure that society places upon them.

Any additional comments?

Laura's expertise on the government bureaucracy and the history of the United States allows her to share her views on the political trends that seem to be destroying America, today. The trend toward big government and Socialism rob Americans of freedom and liberty, the gifts God intends for us. This corresponds to restrictions that regulate God out of government which corresponds to less God in people. The minority, Atheists, are determining policy for the majority.

She articulates the struggle of U.S. Christians

This is a great book that gives an alternative view from a genuine American citizen standing up to what has become a bureaucratic monster through political and various other institutions including the media. She has the heart of David facing Goliath. Her talk of her own faith is moving, rich and inspiring.

POWER

This book is very well written and read. Laura Ingraham puts fourth many very good ideas that each of us can participate in to make this country a better place for all. I highly recommend this book to anyone who cares about the ever-quickening degradation of our society.

As meaningful today as it was when written

Laura does a masterful job combining fact, logic and history with compelling stories with actual events as evidence of where we were and how to regain the power of the people. The last chapter was emotional for anyone who is really listening with a goal of obtaining knowledge and spiritual strength. Thank you to the author for narrating the book so we could hear her writing in the spirit it was written.
