About this listen

Fighter pilot Jon Russell never sleeps with the same man twice. Known for his lack of shame when it comes to hooking up, Jon has no interest in commitment - even friends with benefits sounds like too much work.

Matt Huffman has slept with lots of women. He's had loads of girlfriends. So why does the hot-as-hell pilot getting a tattoo as the result of a lost bet stop his breath? And how come he can't stop thinking about him, even after he's gone?

When Jon returns to Skin Deep the second time, he doesn't want another tattoo. He wants to hook up with the gorgeous artist he spent hours agonizingly close to, and Matt wants to explore some curiosity about men. Fulfill the desire he can't stop fantasizing over. And he wants to do it with Jon.

As their casual hook-up becomes more than just skin deep, both Matt and Jon are faced with questions they don't want to answer. Matt understands he's bi - but are these feelings he has typical of hooking up with a man? Or is it only Jon that can make his heart pound?

If Jon wanted nothing more than a fling, why does he find himself needing not just Matt's body, but all of him?

Contains mature themes.

as great as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Michael Ferraiuolo is one of the top 5 narrators for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow.
I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Perfect read for quarantine and beyond

It was a good story, and, once again, it pulled me in and I felt connected to the characters. The author snd narrator did a great job, as usual.

Good story. Good narration.

This series is a good read if you are looking for steamy scenes involving military men and tattoos. This book specifically, is filled with steam.

The narration was fairly well done. I didn't particularly like the voice used for John, but that was just because it didn't match the voice I had in my head.

Love is love

I just love the narrator in this story and the way he tells the story. I also love the HEA and the way they figure it out.

These books are so hot

But there’s a story driving it

These aren’t my first LA Witt stories, yet somehow I “forgot” this author. Have you ever done that? Wandered away to other things in your reading journey and lost track of something good? Well that’s what I did here. Glad I found my way back.

I think I enjoyed this book more than the first, and I had a lot of good things to say about it! Good writing, plot, characters, emotion, heat, and excellent narration make this audiobook *chef’s kiss*

Jon and Matt…

Cool series. I liked that it had the naval elements because I knew what they were talking about, but then again I also didn’t like the naval elements because of the inaccuracies. But the love story itself wasn’t bad. I liked Jon and Matt. No big drama, just a bi-awakening and some FWB to lovers.
Anyway, like with the others in series, the narrator isn’t bad, but he has a voice I think meant for like historical MM romances or stories by Gabbi Grey.

TRASH

Insipid characters, awful narration, and so so boring. RUN from this one. What a waste.

Just okay

I like the story but the narrator killed it for me. One of the main character’s voice was annoyingly female sounding.

The Narrator Sounded Like an Old Drag Queen.

Wish the narration sounded younger, more sexy and virile. The main character is a jock, a fighter pilot yet he sounded like the puppet Madeline. I finished the book but it took strength to get past that awful narrator.
