About this listen

In this irresistible mystery from New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Joanne Fluke, Hannah Swensen is at the center of a lively summer fest with fun for everyone in Lake Eden, Minnesota—including a cold-blooded murderer....

The Tri-County Summer Solstice Celebration has come to town, and even among local artisans, athletes, and marching bands, Hannah attracts fans of her own while serving lip-smacking pink lemonade desserts. But the mood sours when a body turns up, leading revelers to wonder if the festivities mark both the longest day of the year and the deadliest....

A retired professional MLB player has met a terrifying end—and, considering the rumors swirling about his past, the list of suspects could fill a small stadium. Among them could soon be Delores, Hannah’s mother, who publicly held a grudge against the victim after he infamously dunked her in the tank at a previous county fair....

Now, with her mother’s innocence on the line, a life-changing announcement at The Cookie Jar, and a plethora of desserts to bake, Hannah can’t afford to strike out as she begins a dangerous investigation into the ruthless killer who’s truly in a league of their own....

Features Over a Dozen Cookie and Dessert Recipes from The Cookie Jar!

Love Joanne Fluke

This is a wonderful series of books. Each story is dodo and they keep you guessing. The characters stories are funny and work so well together. Love the recipes! Can’t wait for the next one!

A cookbook with a little story weaved in

I generally love these books, but this one felt like a cookbook with a tiny story sprinkled in. Kind of disappointed.

not one of the best Hannah series novels

This started slow. it seems like the author just tries to throw in a bunch of recipes rather than a true storyline. it doesn't improve until close to the end when it sets up for the next book.

Love the Hannah Swenson mysteries

Always looking forward to the next book in the series. The characters are fun, and quirky, and “real”. A lot of good recipes, even if some are a bit out-dated. Also enjoy the Midwest lore and customs.

Disappointing

I’ve read all of Joanne Fluke’s mysteries. This one was very disappointing. I could hardly get through it with the reader and the voices she used for the different characters. But I decided to trudge on. I am glad I did, even though the storyline didn’t get better the ending is exciting. This book was a tough read or should I say listen.

Love the series but to many recipes between story

So many recipes, they need to be put in the back of the book all together. The story is good, the performance is good, but all the recipes in between the story is a bit much. It is like watching TV with 5 minutes of commercials. It takes away from the story. You have to make sure you pay attention to the story or you lose what's going on.

Cookie Jar Mystery # 32…?

I have loved this series and have read or listened to them all, to date, I believe. Plus I have the Lake Eden Cookbook, I would love a 2nd maybe even 3rd if needed, addition with the all the recipes to date.! I read the negative reviews that are listed below and I can see some of their points, but I think that some of them are also what make these books a series…. I am anxious to here more progress in Hannah’s personal relationships… and will continue to wait for each new book… 1 Question though, why are the TV movie’s significantly different than the books… and the newest one that is yet to air has a title that hasn’t even ever been published???
