Great for building confidence

I took these lessons slower than suggested, but I have been able to hold conversations with my coworkers who have been learning Japanese for over a year in a little less than 1 month! Excited to learn more

I think it’s useful

A lot of repetition.
Some common phrases. I could see these being useful if you traveled to Japan before.
I’ve both traveled and learned in college. It will help your studies in terms of pronunciation and understanding language structure. In terms of travel, it’s better than using a guide book. It commits to memory a little because you’re speaking it out, like speaking to a live person—it’s best to keep practicing if that’s the goal.
Moving onto the next lessons after this!

SO EASY

I have put off learning the language because all other apps and books I've tried have been so confusing. I never thought it could be so easy!!! It's repeating and repetitiveness that makes this a snap. Definitely worth trying out for yourself.

Best of all I've tried

If all you're looking for it is to be able to speak and understand the language, this is the best. By repeating and speaking everything out loud it all tends to stick much better. I just listen to it on my 25 min drive to and from work and within two months have completed all of level 1 and moving on to level 2 by repeating each lesson 3-4 times and not moving on until I can readily answer each prompt without too much thought. Level 1 covers most of the basics you would need to travel to Japan such as asking people if they understand English, ordering food, asking for directions and understanding the directions given, some family members, locations you or other people live, numbers up to several hundred and a fair amount more. I'm very much looking forward to level 2.

Subarashii! Check it out!

Compared to other audio lessons, the enunciation is profoundly better. The speakers are clear and the repetition makes it a much smaller task to retain. This is the most reliable Japanese audio lesson series I've come across.

This was better than private lessons

I was taking private lessons for a few months because I have a summer job in Japan, I was not remembering anything. I started Pimsleur and wow what a difference. I actually stopped my private lessons because I was retaining and learning more practical uses from the Pimsleur program.

money grab

1 credit for each 2.5 hr section is a rip off. The content is great but the way a single audiobook has been divided into five is terrible.
