About this listen

Peacemakers. The Galactic Union's most capable enforcers and resolute negotiators, their name alone elicits fear and awe among the Union's citizenry.

Having completed a harrowing confirmation mission, Jessica Francis stands ready to become Earth's first Peacemaker and believes obtaining her commission is a mere formality. However, certain members of the Guild question her ability. Worried that she'll fall back on her mercenary ways, they want Jessica to prove her mettle at the negotiating table before she puts on the distinctive insignia of a Peacemaker.

Dream Worlds are terraformed planets inhabited by multiple species living and working in harmony. Operated by a governing Consortium, each carefully-controlled world is marketed as a paradise, but Araf is far from. The conditions are deplorable, and its three colonies are moving relentlessly toward all-out war over scarce resources and broken promises.

A three-way showdown for dominance looms - can Jessica prevent war and bring back peace? One thing is certain; she's never walked away from a fight, and she's not going to start now.

Intriguing Plot • Great Story • Strong Narration • Craving Next Book • Interesting Protagonist Decisions

The story was decent, written well enough, but only vaguely expands the universe. Too many details left unresolved.

Narrator speaks well enough and is tolerable, but she does a poor job differentiating characters, so it makes the story hard to follow.

A Patchy Quilt

This one falls short of the other Revalations novels. The story seem incompletly developed and the characters aren't particularly well developed. The strong narration helps make up for the iffy characters and cheesy ending but can only do so much. I hope this story line dies here and doesn't taint the series going forward.

The first disappointing Revalations book

Jessica is a neophyte law enforcer as it were. The book has great story and characters. you get into it, but Jessica does not play a peacemaker well. she comes in swinging without really trying to resolve anything peacefully. great book, but interesting decisions by the protagonist.

good one, few logic flaws.

throughout the book the volume would randomly increase our decrease, distracting from the ongoing story

good story, good narrating, bad mastering

i'm not sure whether it's the characterizations, the dialogue, or the plot, but compared to the other books in the series, the novel is not nearly as enjoyable. i probably hit the "skip 30" button a dozen or so times, to avoid repetitive internal dialogues. i'm not asking for a non-stop action, but this is very much on the other side of the spectrum...

Not at the same quality

I'm not sure if it was the content or the narrator, but the main character sounded basically like a child throwing a temper tantrum.

Worst book in the series
