About this listen

Miller

They called me the pretty boy on and off the ice. Hockey’s most eligible bachelor.

When my teammate asked me to donate one date to his charity, I figured why not. Worst case, I’d spend the night with a fan. Best-case scenario, she would be hot. What I wasn’t expecting was for my dream girl to be the highest bidder.

For years, she brushed me off, and now, I finally had a chance to take her out and show her who I really was.

With only one shot at this, I really hoped I didn’t mess it up.

Layla

At the top of my career, I was riding the wave of my sports talk show having the best rating on the radio.

I also made it a rule to never date any sports players.

It was my one rule, and I was sticking to it until I bid on the only man who gets under my skin.

The pretty boy fell, and fell HARD!

Miller was a goner for Layla from the moment he met her. No man chases a woman for 4 years if she's not the one. When he finally gets his chance with her, he's all in. Layla quickly realizes there's so much more to the pretty boy than she ever could've imagined and ends up falling for him just as hard as he fell for her. When Layla's secret unravels everything they were building, my heart broke for both of them. Ava Lucas and Conner Crais were amazing as usual. They narrate with so much emotion, heat and passion and make you fall in love with the characters and story even more. This was a love story that will make you believe that anything worth having is worth fighting for. I am so invested in this series and each couple as they make their way through trials and heartache to their HEA's. Happily jumping into Manning's story next because I know it's going to be just as great as the first two.

Wow!!! An incredible ride of a story with top notch narration!

“She wants the chase. She’s going to get the chase of her life and she better be ready for when I catch her.” Wow! What an outstanding, enjoyable, amusing, and entertaining book!!! Miller and Layla are everything I never knew I needed in a romance book!! Two people we met in “Only One Kiss” as Layla is Candace’s best friend and Miller is always at the events trying to get her to get with him. He does this for 4 long years. It all left me completely intrigued by what was to come with them and this book completely delivered! In this book, from the moment Miller said, “hello gorgeous” in the first chapter and they proceeded to have their banter, I was ALL IN with this plot. Hook, line and sinker. Their banter and playfulness throughout the chase kept me hypnotized in the story! He wasn’t kidding when he said to get ready for the chase of her life because it will have you swooning, laughing, feeling wooed, and also making you wonder what he was thinking. This book will take you on an incredible ride that will leave you wanting more of Miller and Layla! A brilliant story with such well written characters that you’ll be addicted to them! SO GOOD!

Connor and Ava once again knock the audiobook out of the park!! I thought Miller was a complete jerk in the last book but as soon as I heard Connor’s voice speaking as Miller, my heart melted and all was forgiven! Another 5 star audio!

It left me in tears!

I'm so loving this series and the perfect narration by Ava and Connor. I was in tears from laughing multiple times, usually involving Gramma. My heart broke for each MC and I cried a few times. The happy cries were the best though! I can't fail to mention the HOTNESS level either. Natasha Madison hits the perfect blend of humor, heat, and heartbreaking and healing!

Great story and narration

The second book in the latest series from Natasha Madison and wow, it was so good. Ava Lucas and Connor Craig brought this story to life with their narration.

The writing was strong with characters that you cannot help but fall for and whose story you quickly become invested in. I was hooked from the first chapter and was frustrated when real life got in the way of reading.

This is Miller and Layla’s story and was an entertaining love story. Only One Chance at times had me laughing like a lunatic, in fact I laughed so much I almost cried, but through it all was a story of love and hope that left me with a smile on my face.

Miller has wanted Layla for quite a while but has had no luck in getting her to go out with him. When Layla wins a date with Miller at a charity auction, she has no idea how her life is about to change.

I loved how Miller was determined to show Layla how good they could be together if only she would take a chance on them. Miller is totally swoon worthy and I could easily see Layla as a friend. The secondary characters, particularly Grandma Nancy was a hoot and I could happily read more about her.

It was heart warming to watch the journey and chemistry as the relationship developed between Miller and Layla. These characters were so easy to relate too, the story was beautifully written and I cannot wait to see what Ms.Madison has in store for this series.

Sooooo Good 💗💗💗

I have listened to this entire Only One series and Miller and Layla's story is one of my favorites. Ava Lucas is superb as Layla. Sassy, funny and unfiltered. Connor, oh Conner, you have the dreamest voice. These two together make magic happen. Thank you Natasha for another great love story. ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥

Google

I love this one. Miller really stepped up his game with Google.
Nice performance from the narrators.

The Beginning was Rough

I'm always been a big fan of Natasha's books but this one was a struggle. The main female character was a real witch (replace the "w" with a "b"). Her actions for the first few chapters got so bad I actually had to skip chapters and probably missed some good parts just to get past her witchyness. I personally don't care to be around people like her (Layla) and discovered I don't like reading or in this case listening to a person like her. There was something that happened later in the book (don't want to spoil anything) where she became very sad and I didn't feel sorry for her at all because of the way she started in the book. Eventually they figured things out and the story came along well.

It might have been better if I read the book instead of listening to it. The narrators were good when speaking as their main character but when they tried to do the opposite sex, it was hard to listen to. This ended up being an OK book for me.

I Wish I Could Get My Money Back

This audio book manages to combine unlikeable main characters, inane dialogue euphemistically described as "banter", and some cringeworthy sex scenes, one of which is positively icky (the granny scene). The narration is hard to follow as well. I tried downloading the prose version of the book thinking it might be easier to read on the page. It was easier to follow what passes for the plot, but it didn't make the plot any better or the characters more likeable. I quit at 67%.

Unfortunately, I bought this audio book on sale so I can't return it, but Natasha Madison has made it onto my "don't buy this author again" list.

Disappointing read

There were parts of this book that I enjoyed, but there was just too much that I didn’t. The whole Grandma Nancy “date” was just ridiculous. I didn’t find her endearing or funny, just wildly inappropriate and gross. I also never fully warmed up to Layla or Miller for that matter and never really bought into their finally coming together. This one was definitely a disappointment. I would return it if I had used a credit.
