About this listen

When Mrs. Harvey’s death turns out to be murder, DCI Kevin Gregg’s attention is drawn to her granddaughter, Ashley, and her boyfriend, Spencer Penrose. As Kevin digs deeper, he finds this isn’t the first murder that Spencer has been linked to.

gutwrenching

The longer I listened the more angry and sick I felt. With each thing that the culprit(s) got away with I became more furious. I was hoping there would be a rogue cop acting out early in the story, because I saw no one worth redemption, or any possibility of rehabilitation, or having remorse of any kind. Sometimes you have to cut your losses. I looked at the bigger picture and only saw more of the same or worse, though I don't know what could be worse than needless murders. I just wanted to scream do something hoping for death by cop. You can't save them all, and this looked dismal and doomed from the start. Very suspenseful. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did an exceptional job bringing the characters and story to life. The sound effects added great dimension to the story. I recommend this psycho thriller.

I loved it! An excellent story of cops and layers of criminals they deal with. Grant Love was an amazing narrator.

The twisted road to justice

Received as an audio copy to review by the narrator, this is an honest review. Anchored by the fiery performance of Grant Love, One for Sorrow is author's Molly Garcia one of her best and gut wrenching story the more you uncover the complicated the characters manipulating Dr. Ethan Quinn and DCI Kevin Greggs and his colleagues, deliver a dark cat and mouse game. To all of the people that have gotten to know Spencer Penrose through his life; many believe while a victim of horrific abuse as a child now has become a killer himself yet blissfully managed so far to escape justice for his actions. With the tragic death of the elderly woman Mrs. Harvey and discovering her grand daughter is involved with now they adult Spencer, DCI Greggs turns back to Dr. Quinn and anyone else that maybe this time they nail Spencer Penrose to a crime that's never felt right. And the harrowing true of Ashley's grandmother's death feels as far all involved were no more than pawns in a very twisted game of chess.

Highly recommended.
