About this listen

Brooklyn's chance to restore a rare first edition of Beauty and the Beast seems a fairytale come true - until she realizes the book last belonged to an old friend. Three years ago, Max Adams fell in love with Emily and gave her the copy of Beauty and the Beast. Soon afterward, he died in a car crash, and Brooklyn has always suspected his ex-girlfriend and her jealous beau. Now she decides to find out who sold the book and return it to its rightful owner - Emily. She believes a book dealer can assist her, but when she arrives at his shop, she finds him murdered. Is it possible the same couple who may have killed Joe is now after his edition of Beauty and the Beast?

Was not crazy about reader, loved the 1st one.

Loved the story, but not crazy about the readers voice. So sorry about that! Grating!

Fun

Another good story about a book binder, special books, and more dead bodies that appear when they are least expected.

Great 👍 book bur

I love books Written by Kate Carlisle😃 this is no exception. I have listened to entire 'Fixer Upper ' series and all this series as well. However, at first I was disappointed in the change in narrator. Maybe I was just used to the old one, but After listening to a number of these books with Susie providing the voices of the Bibliophile gang, I am really enjoying her performances.

Still miss original narrator

I do enjoy these stories, but am struggling with the new narrator. I was tempted to not continue the series, but I do enjoy the characters. This was not my favorite story line and definitely didn't enjoy the narrator. When an author does a series, they really should stick with the same voice. I thought I'd get used to the new narrator but still haven't. Since there are only two books left in the series, I'll muddle through but will not choose any new authors or books that use this narrator.
