Story
In this low angst, a sweet retelling of Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Mr. Bennet is not just idle, he is actively cruel. And Mrs. Bennet, while still uneducated, must do whatever she can to protect her daughters from their father. Mr. Darcy’s epiphany comes much earlier than in canon and it changes his relationships not only with the Bennets but with his sister, his cousin Anne, and Bingley. When the Bennet matriarch moves to an estate outside of Bath with her daughters, Bingley follows and so do both Darcy siblings.

Publisher's summary
Excerpt:
Mr. Thomas Bennet massaged his temples as his five-day-old daughter again woke and cried in hungry complaint. He and the wet nurse Mrs. Lindsay had been on the road for two days with the infant, and his nerves had been strained to their limit by the poor babe’s pitiable circumstance – a mother who could not, would not, stand even the sight of her newborn child simply for its misfortune of failing to be born a male and the heir the mother desperately desired for the family’s entailed estate.
Mrs. Bennet had always been an excitable woman, but her husband had been utterly unprepared for her refusal to feed, hold, or even look at her new daughter. The midwife had informed him that she had witnessed this phenomenon in new mothers before, but never to the degree that his wife had displayed when she had threatened to harm the child if it was not removed from her presence. After two days of trying unsuccessfully to coax Mrs. Bennet to at least view the beautiful child, the father had been forced to take action to secure the tiny girl’s life and future.
It must be providential that I heard from my university friend just this week, Bennet thought.

Gabriel Ferrara is tall and handsome, and most days she wants to stab her eyes out with a pencil, anything to stop her seeing his perfection. How any female could work in these conditions and not be completely besotted with him is beyond her. Then he opens his mouth and she remembers why. He's bossy and sarcastic, with a wit so sharp it could cut glass. Every weekend is the same . . . while he's off living his dream life, she's counting down the days until Monday when she sees him again.

Of Whispers and Wisdom is yet another sweet, clean, low-angst novella of 47,000 words. No major villains, just a gentle love story told from a Christian perspective in the usual style of Jae George. Story
Of Gates and Grace is a light, sweet, very low-angst novella of a little 39,000 words written from a decidedly Christian perspective. When Darcy and Elizabeth meet for the first time – or is it the second? – he mistakes her for a wood nymph. Excerpt: “Well, are you coming in?” After a pause, the gatekeeper, presumably St. Peter, repeated more slowly as if he was speaking to slow-witted children, “So are you two coming in or staying out there?” Darcy spoke first, “I don’t think I’m finished yet. This novel of 67,000 words is a sweet and clean variation of Pride and Prejudice written from a Christian perspective. The characters meet as children and grow in understanding of themselves and each other over the period of Elizabeth at age five until her marriage. There are no super-villains to wreak havoc on our heroes or heroines in this low-angst retelling. Except: Summer 1796 - On a mild summer day in Hertfordshire, Lady Anne Darcy sat in the shade of the terrace overlooking the generous expanse of manicured lawn behind their leased estate. Netherfield Park was an agreeable location ...

The secret baby JAFF you didn’t know you wanted! The night of the Netherfield Ball, Fitzwilliam Darcy watches Elizabeth Bennet dance twice with Mr. William Collins and knows what the man intends. When Mr. Darcy’s own dance with the lady in question goes disastrously, he despairs of ever wooing her from the man who duty demands she wed. He takes solace in absinthe, as one does. Elizabeth is not the least bit pleased at the prospect of marrying Mr. Collins and begins drinking heavily, too. When a very inebriated Mr. Darcy appears and takes her off to his room, she doesn’t resist. She ...

Story
The Bennet family of Longbourn, Hertfordshire, had long been known to its neighbours as exceptionally learned though eccentric, but was tolerated because the first Bennets settled there more than four hundred years before, just after the great plague. Both the grandfather and father of the master, Mr. Thomas Bennet, married blue-stocking wives from the Continent. These circumstances had a profound effect on Mrs. Bennet and her five daughters. Because of this broader worldview, the Bennet family was more aware of, and affected by some historical events of the period far outside the twenty-...

Story
Of Friendship and Forgiveness is a sweet, clean, low angst Pride and Prejudice variation of 62,000 words written from a Christian perspective. Excerpt: Elizabeth lay back onto the grass allowing the sun to warm her face and the breeze to tousle her hair. The gloriously vivid blue sky was reflected perfectly in the still end of the loch while the waterfall at the other end sent a cooling mist into the air. Perfect. This was a perfectly lovely day in a perfectly lovely place. She thought about the series of events that had brought her here to this remote estate in Scotland, alone except for ...

Story
Warning: This is another excessively sweet, clean, low-angst story written from a decidedly Christian point of view. This novella of about 44,000 words is about the fulfillment of Elizabeth’s Bennet’s childhood wish to be Mrs. Darcy. Excerpt: The young couple joined hands as they stood together in the sun-filled meadow of the sprawling estate of Pemberley. “Dearly beloved,” the ceremony began, “we have gathered here to witness the joining of this couple in holy matrimony.” The speaker did his best to remember the words of the marriage service without the benefit of his prayer ...

In this sweet, clean, low-angst Pride and Prejudice variation, Darcy and Elizabeth meet for the first time when Mr. Darcy Senior stumbles across Elizabeth on the estate grounds. Without a clue as to who this gentleman truly is, she is shepherded into the study to meet the young master of Pemberley. This 62,000 word novel is written from a decidedly Christian perspective although there are scenes of non-graphic intimacy between married couples. Except: “Father, what are you about? Why did you coerce poor Miss Bennet into the study? " "Please sit down, Son. Do you not remember our agreement...

Virtual voice lacks inflection
Virtual voice is cheap, but you get what you pay for, I guess. I won’t be listening to virtual voice recordings unless I’m very well acquainted with the story already. Otherwise it is easy to misunderstand what character is even speaking.
