Publisher's summary

Modern men are experiencing unprecedented levels of angst and anxiety. We're frustrated, stressed, burned out, and bored. We turn to work and wealth, busyness and distraction, alcohol and drugs and pornography.

But none of it works. Because only one thing will bring us the joy, peace, purpose, and significance we desire: a relationship with the God of heaven. An intimate relationship, one that is real and true.

But for that kind of relationship, we must embark on a journey to encounter him personally.

In his new book Odyssey, Justin Camp offers a practical, scriptural field guide for men who are ready to walk this ancient path. The book is built around six short biographies, real-life stories of great American astronauts. These nano-histories will engage listeners' curiosity and inspire them to undertake epic quests of their own.

This book is for scouts and prospectors, for explorers and pilgrims. It is for men who want to experience more and a better life than any of us ever thought possible.

Taking time to know God, to know yourself!

Odyssey

This book took me on a range of emotions. Pride, excitement, anger, and finally peace! It brought about these emotions through stories about space travel from America’s finest. But as you dig deeper, the book is not about space travel. It is about our own individual journey’s to develop a personal relationship with God.

Pride in the human accomplishments of space travel. The unity that such an endeavor could capture the attention of the entire world.

Excitement in learning details about space travel and experience of astronauts. But more so learning about God has used these men and their platforms to change lives.

The anger I felt was the feeling of deception I. Learning about the Apollo 8 sign off reading scripture. I had never heard this before, and became angry because I didn’t know it had happened. I was disappointed feeling that this information should be taught in every school. In my opinion it is a huge piece of American history being withheld or covered up because of law suits.

Peace coming from the direction of how to be still in seek God. Loved that the book was not just sit there and read this. Instead, it is more of if you want to grow in your Faith, here is a plan to get you started.

The power of men in relation with God.

The stories of astronauts and how though not perfect the recognition of being in relationship with the created God draws the reader in. Justin’s application of these stories and our lives with God is so impactful.

Amazing

I read this book in three consecutive mornings. I actually listened and read along. I’ve always been attracted to the stories of space, human potential, daring and purpose. This book has all of them. Most importantly, the author’s written as spoken words come across as genuine and that makes all the difference.

You won’t be disappointed.

Every man should read this book!

This book is worthy the investment! Having read many books on the heard of a man, the journey we are on and what God desires from us, I cannot recommend Odyssey high enough. It's incredibly well written, deep, compelling and thought-provoking. It'll take you places in your heart that you haven't been in years, or maybe ever.
