About this listen

I'll give her my ring to claim my crown.

Vittoria DeSanto leaves me no choice. What she knows could destroy me, destroy my family, and I won't allow that. She's homeless, penniless, and powerless. I’ll give her the life of a mafia princess. Anything she desires will be hers…except her freedom.

Because our marriage will make me the boss of the Rossi crime family. My word is law. All must respect my authority, especially Vittoria. The stubborn woman will learn.

Her place is by my side, in my bed. Over my knee.

Utterly Delicious!

This book was deliciously intense, enticingly steamy and surprisingly sweet. Romeo and Vittoria simply slipped right into my heart, stole my breath and left me swooning. An intoxicating combination of intense emotion, drama, darkness, heat and tension captivates and consumes, so be prepared because you are going to resent every single thing that pulls you away from this book. I know I did. An absolutely incredible book that is a definite must! This was the perfect way to kick-start this new series that I can already tell will become my favorite new addiction. I loved the dual narration and if I do say so myself, their performances were simply excellent and I felt that their voices fit the characters beautifully. Some scenes actually gave me goosebumps!

Intense and Intoxicating

I love the writing style of Jane Henry and this start of her new mafia series sucked me in and kept me entertained until the end. Vittoria has come to Boston, summoned by a letter and has no idea what it is all about. Arriving at the Castle, she finds herself in the middle of a mafia family and the reading of a will. Now embroiled into the family, she has to marry one to keep the peace and get her piece, but which one? Romeo is ready to take over the family. The underboss, he knows the business and securing a wife will be the icing on the cake. Will he convince Vittoria he is the one for her? A true Romeo and Juliet story, this book takes us through an array of emotions that will wear you out and build you back. Vittoria proves just how strong she is as she takes the first step into the Castle. She is walking into the unknown, has no idea what will happen and ends up being Rome's focus. Romeo is dark and dangerous. His personality is domineering and he will instill a punishment to whomever needs it, including Vittoria. Henry's magic transported me into their world, and held me hostage until the very end. It's a fabulous book.

To make it even better, Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross tell us the story. Kennicott plays Vittoria, a little naive, yet very capable. I love her voice and chemistry with Ross. Romeo is a definite alpha, a leader and ready to take command. Ross plays this part to a "T". Together, Kennicott and Ross pulled me into Henry's Deviant Doms and kept me captivated.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Twisted!

Jane Henry never ceases to amaze me with her brilliantly creative mind and impressive writing skills. “Oath of Silence” is a perfect example of what she does best, creating a dark mafia romantic suspense that is original with interesting characters and storylines that are captivating from start to end. Her descriptive details bring right alongside the characters, allowing you to experience everything they do, what they are thinking, seeing and feeling. The characters are easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and like too. Romeo Rossi is the underboss of the Rossi crime family with plans to take over the empire from the current boss, his father. Celebrating his release after doing a stint in jail for a crime, he did not commit, the last thing he was expecting was to do something that could land him right back in prison. Victoria DeSanto was down on her luck, she lost everything after her ex swindled her out of her savings and her apartment. Then she receives a letter of an inheritance, is it possible her luck has changed? With all that she had left to her name, she heads to Boston for the reading of the will despite not knowing the person who died. She stops for something to eat the night before the meeting and runs into trouble, but someone saves her and tells her to disappear and never speak of what she saw. It turns out fate had other plans for her. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with a perfect balance of drama, angst, thrilling suspense, action, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Jane Henry, thank you for another amazing story and wild ride. Loved the references to Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet at the start of each chapter too.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross were the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that suited that character’s persona and was believable in every role they played. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Great beginning to the series!

Great story to begin the series. Vittoria and Romeo meet in some very dangerous circumstances. They then meet again at a will reading and some surprises come from that.

After some forced proximity between them, things do get a bit hot and heavy. He wants obedience, she doesn’t think she should. Push and pull between, as well as the chemistry growing.

I can see I’m going to enjoy the forthcoming books, the world building by Jane Henry is amazing.

I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross, one of my favorite duos. They bring the story to life, Kai brings the character of Vittoria as a very strong woman, but also how she falls for the very alpha Romeo, who Wen does a superb job at bringing that character to life. He’s the leader of the family and has to command with his voice. Love when Kai and Wen narrate a story together.

it has potential

the beginning was good. the ending was rushed . I get that they want you to read the next book but gosh the ending was too abrupt. there are a few unanswered questions in this book. it has potential . it could have been better.
