Story
Melody is not like most people. She cannot walk or talk, but she has a photographic memory; she can remember every detail of everything she has ever experienced. She is smarter than most of the adults who try to diagnose her and smarter than her classmates in her integrated classroom - the very same classmates who dismiss her as mentally challenged because she cannot tell them otherwise. But Melody refuses to be defined by cerebral palsy.

Story
Henry Winkler, launched into prominence as “The Fonz” in the beloved Happy Days, has transcended the role that made him who he is. Brilliant, funny, and widely regarded as the nicest man in Hollywood (though he would be the first to tell you that it’s simply not the case, he’s really just grateful to be here), Henry shares in this achingly vulnerable memoir the disheartening truth of his childhood, the difficulties of a life with severe dyslexia, the pressures of a role that takes on a life of its own, and the path forward once your wildest dream seems behind you.

Story
Hi there, I’m Hank. Here’s what you need to know about me: I don’t try to make the kids in my class laugh, but somehow I do. Spelling is my worst subject. (Come to think of it, so are math and reading!) I try hard - I really do. So why does my brain always freeze into a popsicle? When Hank hears that his class is putting on a play, he’s the only one who’s not excited. That’s because every time he tries to read the script, his brain swirls, and it feels like his head is filled with soggy oatmeal! Can Hank get his act together and get a part?

Story
Willow Feathers McBeaver, aka Detective Duck, is a crime-solving (and very precocious) little duck. She and her animal pals live on Dogwood Pond, a beautiful pond in New England adjacent to Lazy Days, a human campground. Dogwood Pond has always been a pristine spot with clear water, abundant wildlife, and shady willow trees, but now it is encountering puzzling problems—mysteries that arise from human-caused disruptions in nature, such as water pollution, refuse, warming climate, and human encroachment.

Story
Being a kid can really stink. And no one knows this better than Greg Heffley, who finds himself thrust into middle school, where undersized weaklings share the hallways with kids who are taller, meaner, and already shaving. In Diary of a Wimpy Kid, author and illustrator Jeff Kinney introduces us to an unlikely hero. As Greg says in his diary: Just don't expect me to be all "Dear Diary" this and "Dear Diary" that. Luckily for us, what Greg Heffley says he won’t do and what he actually does are two very different things.

Story
What will it take for Mom and Dad to trust Hank to go to the mall unsupervised with his friends? Cooking a family dinner - er, disaster - doesn't exactly say “responsible”. But what if Hank signs up for the school's notorious survival camp and makes it through the whole weekend? Maybe he should factor in being teamed up with his nemesis, McKelty, in a leaky tent, not to mention a desperate search for a cell phone in a field of cow pies.... The amiable character originated by Henry Winkler - inspired by his own childhood - comes to life in a humorous adventure.

Book 1
Audible doesn't have these books as part of a series. While reading about Henry Winkler I found his site about these books. Reading in order really helps set the stage correctly. If you can't find the series data then look for Hank Zipzer series on penguin.com.
Very good story and the narration is great. I giggled several times.

The Perfect
I love Hank Zipzer! An amusing character who tries to the right thing but finds that not everyone can appreciate his unique problem solving methods. A well-written and empathetic tale of a boy with a heart of gold and a brain that learns differently. Henry Winkler's narration is brilliant, a pleasure to listen to. My kids, ages 7 - 11, look forward to more tales of Hank.

Outstanding!
I enjoyed this book very much, even as an adult with no children. Hank's joys and sorrows, hopes and fears as a fourth grader aren't that much different from ours in the adult world - I could relate to Hank and his friends. The narration was engaging, and particularly enjoyable to me as a groupie for "The Fonz" (Winkler's character from earlier television). I'll be buying more of the Zipzer!

Fun for the kids
We listen to a lot of books. Henry Winkler did a great job narrating with this series. I hope there will be more. My 7 year old wanted a couldn't get enough.
I gave it a 4 as an adul because it bothered me how hard Hank was on himself when he has trouble and calling himself stupid all the time was in some ways part of the charm of the books, but on the other a little disheartening as a parent.
Even so, the books were fun to listen to and i will get the next ones as they come.
All in all the books were all entertaining and the kids couldn't wait for me to start the car to continue with the story.
Other books we have enjoyed: Charlie and the chocolate factory. The Indian in the cupboard, the uglified duckie,The Call of the Wild.
