Not bad... But Terrible ending!

Unless there is a part 2, this book ended in a terrible cliffhanger!!! The book itself though, wasn't bad and held my interest as many parts were identifiable being a woman and having friends with several similarities.

Not too shabby

What made the experience of listening to Never Keeping Secrets the most enjoyable?

Patricia Floyd did her thing. In fact, I believe her narration enhanced the story. She gave the characters personalities. The bookwas also interesting on it's own.

Would you be willing to try another book from Niobia Bryant? Why or why not?

Yes. The characters were relatable and the story flowed very well. I hope this book has a sequel in the making.

Which scene was your favorite?

Can't say much without giving anything away, but it would be last scene between one of the ladies and her man. He shows up at her house unexpectedly. It was touching.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely. I needed answers.

Any additional comments?

When the big reveal was made, I found it to be a bit unrealistic, but this IS fiction. This is a story that most will enjoy.

Okay

What you do in your past just may come back and bite you in the ass. I have no sympathy for these women.
......Spoiler 🚨 Alert......
Four women horribly bullied a guy in high school and when he exposes all their skeletons as an adult as a form a revenge they call him all kinds of demons instead of realizing that what they did to him when they were younger was wrong. If they were living right in the first place he would not have had an opportunity to expose their secrets and blow up their lives. I could have done without the detailed sexcapades or the narrator consistently singing the Babyface song lol.

I stopped at chapter 17

I just had to stop. I love the reader/narrator. She’s my favorite but this story I couldn’t get into too much. To be honest I was turned off by all the sex.

This One is Not Worth It!!!

This book is not worth the time nor effort of listening... It starts out okay with some suspense which I expected to build but it did not.... it read as a four short stories that were blended (but not well) together. The ending is unexpected because there is nothing in the first half of the story that relates to the ending, except you know that somebody died. The stories are so disconnected that you forget that somebody is dead. The villain is brought in at the end as a "gottcha" type character which is okay, but the story does give any insight about how the villain came to be "financially" able to spy on and then stage such elaborate revenge on four people. All in All the story is unbelievable and it does not get you emotionally involved in any way. In the end you know virtually nothing and I did not feel emotional or cared about any of the characters. I usually like Niobia's work.

Everybody has some kind of secret

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This book was kept my attention and the story line was good. Nothing too shocking. But is does serve as a reminder to keep in touch with friends and be there for them. You never know what is going on with them.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Sad…made me get on the phone and check on all my friends to see if everything was ok with those I haven't talk to in awhile.

What about Patricia R. Floyd’s performance did you like?

Very good….enjoy listening to her.

Any additional comments?

This book was good but I have read much better by Niobia. However, I am still a fan of her work and will continue to buy books by her.
