A great introduction to NA culture

This book is just an introduction and a sampling to the diversity of so many of our indigenous tribes and how all of their beautiful Elders ways/teachings/spiritual practices of educating their people are diverse yet full of insights that help to make us aware of what humanity and our planet is all about. They're teachings diversities give added insights into how words and symbols can be so limiting, however the take away from all of the teachings are the same of gratitude and respect for our planet and all that is on it. In the dark ages religion was more connected to the earth and its cycles through astrology and numerology which were banned from the church after the dark ages. This author tries to point out the diversity yet similarities in many of the tribal/cultural variations yet similarities in spiritual practices. There's no way that this author can put in the billions of beautiful stories/rituals and teachings of indigenous people passed down by the elders over thousands of years so he just gives us a sample of a few.
This is a wonderful INTRDUCTION to the many wonders of our diverse, waken indigenous Culture which is just like the diversity Our indigenous elders attempt to teach us about our planets Diversity yet oneness and need for respect and gratitude for everything on the planet.
So many beautiful lessons and tools to use to become more waken. Fortunately these teachings/spiritual practices have survived over centuries and like all cultures that have been threatened and gone through wars and attempts to extinguish their heritage and languages by others, they know the true meaning of survival and humanity as well as the meaning of those who have temporarily lost their humanity, respect and connection to our planet and the true meaning that we are all one. In Native American cultures always go to creator/God for permission and guidance in all that they do. Please forgive me if I am wrong, do your own due diligence into indigenous ways of life. So much of their history has been hidden and suppressed, which is the greatest travesty of all. If we continue to suppress and hide our histories we will keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Truth has nothing to hide.

The narrators voice is so annoying!

Couldn’t even get through first chapter. Might be a good book to read but I don’t want to listen to a Kardashian type voice so it’s a definite no go for audible.
