Michael Corleone Blanco
About this listen
Michael Corleone Blanco, after more than fifteen years of research, writing, and reconstructing each of the stories of his life, his family, and his mother, Griselda Blanco, unveils not only truths but also presents a profound reflection on how drug trafficking, wars, and corruption claimed the lives of thousands of innocent people. Almost all of his family members met violent ends, even those who were never involved in the drug trafficking business. Being part of the Blanco family was an arduous journey for each of them. However, Michael Corleone Blanco managed to transform his life. Now, he shares his own story and that of his mother, Griselda Blanco, with the hope that such a tale will never be repeated. Through his narrative, he aims to shed light on the harsh, solitary, and violent reality inherent in the world of drug trafficking, for the awareness of future generations.

Viola MacMillan had it all: success, money, and respect. Influence, even. But in 1964, after three decades in the mining industry, one of the most fascinating women in Canadian business history was the central character in one of the country's most famous stock scandals. MacMillan, who started out as a prospector in the '30s, had developed lucrative mines and put together big deals. But she still wanted "a major discovery." Early in July 1964, shares in Windfall Oil and Mines, a company she and her husband controlled, traded for around 56 cents. Then one day, the stock took off.

Story
The 1987 murder of Lita McClinton Sullivan sent shock waves through the affluent Atlanta suburb of Buckhead, Georgia like few other crimes before it. The neighborhood, with its stately mansions and top-tier schools, was simply not the kind of place where women were gunned down in broad daylight. How many socialites had enemies so dangerous they would be murdered by a hit man pretending to deliver roses on an early winter morning?

Story
Fear was the unacknowledged specter haunting the streets of London during the Second World War; fear not only of death from the German bombers circling above, but of violence at the hands of fellow Londoners in the streets below. Mass displacement, the anonymity of shelters, and the bomb-scarred landscape offered unprecedented opportunities for violent crime. In this absorbing, sometimes shocking account, Amy Helen Bell uncovers the hidden stories of murder and violence that were rife in wartime London.

Story
At the end of the Nuremberg trials in 1946, some of the greatest war criminals in history were sentenced to death, but hundreds of thousands of Nazi murderers and collaborators remained at large. The Allies were ready to overlook their pasts as the Cold War began, and the legacy of the Holocaust was in danger of being forgotten. In The Prosecutor, Jack Fairweather brings to life the heroic story of Fritz Bauer who survived the Nazis as a gay Jewish man to force his countrymen to confront their complicity in the genocide.

Awesome listen for sure! I waited very IMPATIENTLY for the book to be in audio haha.
Well here we go! I waited IMPATIENTLY to listen to the book and I wasn’t disappointed. Michael reads with so much passion and emotion, you literally feel like u are watching what he is reading. You can tell he hasn’t done a book recording cz he makes a few mistakes and that’s what made it even more realistic to me. I give it a 10/10. He is the real deal no sugar coating anything. Thank you Michael for sharing your story with us.

"Absolutely Captivating – A Must-Listen!"
This audiobook had me hooked from the very first chapter. The narration was top-notch, bringing every character and emotion to life in such a vivid way. The pacing was perfect, and the story never dragged. I found myself completely immersed, often losing track of time while listening. Whether you're into gripping plots, rich character development, or just love a well-produced audiobook, this one delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!
