Brilliant Series - So Well Done!

Totally unlike anything I have EVER listened to before, the “My Blood Runs Blue” series is incomparably BRILLIANT! Told from multiple viewpoints, the story is complex, compelling and completely engrossing! The scene setting is beautifully detailed, giving the listener every bit of information necessary to throughly grasp the plot and bite deep, pun intended! The world created by the author, THIS complex, unique world, so beautifully, so thoroughly defined, developed and so clearly and enthralling explained! I was mesmerized! I wanted to be there, I felt as if I WAS there while I listened as my reality slipped away! The plot was that good! No spoilers. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s fun, but believe me when I tell you, there’s no lack of action, intrigue, mysteries, twisty turns, surprises, and at story’s end I was not only completely satisfied, but stunned at the brilliance of how everything came together! The characters OMG, these characters, all unique, and all so brilliantly real feeling! Some I liked, some I was firmly perched on the fence about, and some I would have gladly, personally, staked! No spoilers, listen you’ll soon see! I loved that none of them, NONE were without “flaws”. They ALL had room for growth and improvement. I’ll keep hush as to whether they made any progress in that journey! The narration was clear, consistent, truly breathing life into this five star listen! I loved everything about different and dynamic series!

complete series action, drama, intensity, mystery

MY BLOOD RUNS BLUE (My Blood Runs Blue, #1) . . . You can find so much to enjoy with this one. It looks one way from the outside looking in. Then you get to the heart of the story. There are layers unexplored. Past, present, and the possible future will be touched by the simple act of one life taken too soon then re-born again. Kristin/Calista finds that life as she now knows it was not always the case. Past begins to encroach on here present. She finds that the life she thought she was living was only half of it all. She finds that she has lived before and that all the experiences come crashing back and a decision lays before her.

There are three men in this story. Each wanting Kristin for different reasons. One man's life dulled by an act of betrayal. The other man's life changed by an act of revenge. The last man's just looking for a way out of the life he did not choose. There was much here to learn and consume. Watch as Kristin find out who she is now and who she was then.

THE PULSE OF THE BLUE BLOOD (My Blood Runs Blue, #2) . . . If you wanted to know more about Calista, this was your chance. You see what took place in the past and what lead up to the disaster that was the end of Calista's life. You will see each of the three men from the first installment. This is short but I think it lends more insight to the series beginning.

BLUE BLOOD FOR LIFE (My Blood Runs Blue, #3) . . . Kristin is back. This time around we get more and so does her friends. She reveal much to them and others see a new side of her they were not expecting. Julian, Trent and Alex are coming along for the ride. The world get richer and a little deeper. We find out things that only make us want to find out more about them all.

MIXING THE BLUE BLOOD (My Blood Runs Blue, #4) . . . We take a new adventure with one of Kristin's closes friends. Olivia gets her chance to show more of what she had come to be to the group of characters we have come to know. Gabriel gets a larger stance in the stories.

Olivia and Gabriel find they have commonality within a world one knows little of and the other knows all too much, good and bad. Olivia finds that her life is in much danger just from her friendship with one and the budding one with another. Delving deeper into the seriousness of the world surrounding the Blood Runs Blue gang.

BLUE BLOOD FINAL DESTINY (My Blood Runs Blue, #5) . . . We get so much more about Julian. He also finds out that he is not alone in any of this life, conflict, confusion, nothing. We meet a new character or two and we get to see many of the old characters. We find that life has a funny way of coming back around on itself. There was something different with this installment of the series. I was happy to experience it. Lyssa was smart and pretty. She knew that laying eyes on the man she had not seen in years would be a blessing and maybe a curse to him. Julian was not ready for what Lyssa had to offer him outside of a friendship.

I very much enjoy Stacy Eaton's works. She gives me new details and more to experience. While Alex Black brings to life the voices of each character with clarity. I have enjoyed all of Alex narrations. This one was no different. Thank you for the vivid imagery created by his voice and Stacy's words.

So glad I gave this a chance!

Initially, I wasn’t sure that I was going to appreciate the the Vampire theme. I’m happy to say that Stacy Eaton did a magnificent job with the entire My Blood Runs Blue series. It’s action, adventure, mystery and romance all together with characters who just happen to be Vampires and the way their unique makeup shapes their lives. I really enjoyed the series!

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! After listening to this story,. I totally enjoyed reading this book. It’s well written and the characters were uniquely fantastic. I would suggest this book to my friends that like this sort of genera. this was a good book. The narration was great.

The complete series

This is the complete series of "My Blood Runs Blue." Each book wraps up but the story completely unravels in the next book. Some of the premise is a little hard to accept. *Spoiler alert* The principal main character has a different "mate" in each of the first 3 books. There's some mild cheating involved but it's built into the vampire culture. The books themselves are unique because they switch viewpoints with each chapter. that's not unique, but the view goes back to the beginning of the scenes. So you get the same scene in two different iews. I often feel like the books could be half as long if I didn't hear the scene twice.

Great Series!

These are my very first vampire books! (I have never seen any of the Vampire Diaries or similar series on TV). I was a little skeptical, as I'm not into blood & gore, but I am so glad I took a chance on this set.

The author has created a fascinating vampire world with her unique elements and throws in a mixture of action, mystery, suspense, sex, romance, kidnapping, betrayal, and vampires all wrapped up! Alex Black did a great job narrating and made it possible to feel the emotions as if you were right in the room with the characters. Great job! I like that the series leaves off with the possibility of continuing or of having a spin off series afterwards.

This book was a pleasure to listen to and I would like to thank the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review & I look forward to listening to more books by both the narrator & the author.

Good Series

Let me preface this review by saying I received this book for my honest review.

First of all the narration was great. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is a new to me author as well as a new to me narrator. I am very selective when it comes to MF stories. I can say I was not disappointed. While I very seldom read storylines with MF love interests anymore, I am happy I was given a chance to listen to this book. It was a good listen and I felt myself being pulled into the story.

I love paranormal stories, especially with vampires or shifters. So if there were a spinoff to this series I maybe interested.
Anyway, even though I did get this book for free, I would have had no problem spending a credit on it. I will definitely keep my eye out for more books from this author.
