Damn that’s a lot

It’s a really good story and it’s nearly rated incredibly well. I normally prefer when the actual author reads their own book. But under the circumstances, this was phenomenal. You will be entertained the whole time.

Real and raw

I love Steven Adler! I’m a huge GnR fan and always loved the original lineup. Steven gives such a real and raw look into his life and struggles. The story is relatable and also inspirational for anyone struggling with addiction of any kind. Great book and great read!

great book but...

great audiobook but the narrator should have taken a few minutes to learn how to pronounce some of the names of people, especially well known rock musicians.

Absolutely worth a listen, narrator is not great

As a life long GNR Fan this was a great story. Lots of info and the down and dirty of rock and roll. The narrator is not my favorite. Story really hangs on the drugs, which feels unending but that's the nature of the beast I suppose. So much I didn't know, and so much I don't think I wanted to know. So ugly it's fascinating.

Hits Home For a GNR fan from day-1

The voice actor was outstanding, captured all the emotions that Steve Adler did such a great job capturing.

Great but heartbreaking

This was a fantastid audiobook. Not only as it's a great first hand account from a member of GNR but also as a first hand account of an addict. I myself am a recovering addict, and so much of this man's pain and ability to repeatedly destroy himself was incredibly relatable. I had to stop a few times because it was too relatable. The man is an addict, and addicts end up being their own worst enemy. Even so, it seems the world's cruelty was extra strong for Steven. His story is one of a fall...and then more falling...and then when a glimmer of hope and happiness comes around....more falling.

I don't know him personally, but I do know how addicts can think. I hope he finds his happiness and I hope that when he says it, he means it....

over all pretty good

Content is great. The reader sounds like he is just trying to hard to be dramatic.
