love this little book

Nostalgic and sweet. Interesting to see the side of the immigrant and how they bless us

Beautiful Descriptions, No end

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I read this became son needed it for school. I really enjoyed the descriptions of the American West and the characters. Here's my question: what's the point? We never know exactly who the wife in the beginning of the story is, the one who didn't like Antonia.

I waited the whole story, a and we never learn that.
I guess the argument is that these wonderful, hard-working immigrant girls took over the prairie and became America- losing their teeth along the way.
I don't know.

Tender, beautiful and powerful

We love Cather's rich imagery of the physical world and the world of the mind and heart. Narrator does an excellent job portraying the plain, honest memories of the narrator.
