Super easy listen and not very heavy for a murder mystery. I appreciate how it doesn’t switch perspectives 300 times.

Easy listen

Cute little book for a day's worth of listening. Straightforward plot with non-complex characters. I'm sure this is intended to set us up to meet the cast who will continue to appear in the series. Not a lot about Key West, although purported to be set there. Could have been any other Gulf or SE Atlantic seashore town. Met the requirements for a Kindle Challenge read.

1st of a series

This book is well written and very well narrated, but not really my kind of book.

The mystery is ok. The side characters seem like they'd be interesting, but we don't really get to know them. The focus is on the amateur detective, the handsome cop, and their budding attraction. There's even a love triangle hinted for later in the series.

if you like your cozies a little heavier on the romance this is probably for you.

Read and played audio version 3 times. It was a struggle to keep interest in plot. This cozy mystery book was so cozy that it put me to sleep.

this was a mediocre mystery at best. I really don't even have words to describe it. I was pretty bored throughout, I kept listening and waiting for something exciting to happen and it never did. Then the book ended.

Not much going on...

This was ok I guess. Not bad enough that I couldn’t finish, but not in the least bit captivating or intriguing. Characters are one dimensional, unrealistic, and not especially likable. Zero plot twists or surprises. I love a good thriller and Key West, but this story didn’t deliver well on either front.

Not terrible exactly

The story was blah, but most importantly she interfered in a police investigation. Didn’t care for the narrator. I only finished it because I used a credit and didn’t want to waste my precious credits.

Definitely interfering
