About this listen

When Kitty's latest assignment for the New York Sentinel Ladies' Page takes her to Westfield Hall, she expects to find an orderly establishment teaching French and dancing, but there's more going on at the school than initially meets the eye.

Tragedy strikes when a student named Elspeth is found frozen to death in Central Park. The doctors proclaim that the girl's sleepwalking was the cause, but Kitty isn't so sure. Determined to uncover the truth, Kitty must investigate a more chilling scenario - a murder that may involve Elspeth's scientist father and a new invention by a man named Thomas Edison.

More please.

I’ve listened to both of the books available in this series and hope there will be more. The protagonist is a woman journalist in 1915 NYC. She writes for the Women’s Home Page and along with other female typists is kept out of the “real” news department where the men are enclosed inside their own smoke filled room protected by a glass wall.
America is on the ramp up to join the fight in Europe and woman’s suffrage is a hot button but our previously insulated journalist is only slowly coming to realize the realities of the world she lives in and the limitations on her own behavior as she becomes embroiled in murder. It is refreshing that doesn’t start out with our modern day opinions regarding woman’s rights but through exposure feels not only her vulnerability but the interconnected forces that effect everyone.
I was most entertained by the well written perspective and the narration of this historical fiction, I hope there is more to come.

Good story until the end

I am enjoying this series. The historical information is fascinating and seems to be well researched. I was disappointed in the end of this one. Was justice done? You decide.
