Love this author

I really enjoy stories from this author, especially Redmond and Haze series. But the narrator keep pronounce Rebecca “ Rebaccar” it’s a bit annoying. We Americans knows how to pronounce words properly sometimes.😀Otherwise it was great.

Spoiler alert

Please do not read this review if you do not want SPOILERS. The only thing I didn’t like was the making supernatural stuff real just so that the characters can solve the case. I hate the whole ‘this world is grounded in reality, but we’re going to allude to the psychics and mediums having real power’ trope. But that’s mostly just a pet peeve of mine, otherwise the story was good, and I’m looking forward to the next case.

Nail Biting

This was a wonderfully nail biting book. had me almost crying because of the missing child. and I always kept praying in the middle of it that Jason would find Charlotte.
However I do Not like the new narrator. voices all sound the same and too gravely. I sometimes had trouble trying to figure out who was who because of it.

Love the series

As much as I have enjoyed the series I have been disappointed with the new narrator. I had to listen closely as she doesn’t distinguish characters well.

Love this author and series

Another great story! The American narration is awkward. All the rest of narration was fine.

One of the best in this series so far

One of the best in the series so far. Well written and performed with good story. There are many twists and terms as well as red herrings. We enjoyed it and recommend it highly.

Another wonderful Redmond and Haze Mystery, with a

Another wonderful Redmond and Haze Mystery, with a sadly lackluster performance by the reader.
I use the term "reader" because it is much more like listening to someone read a book to you than listening to someone perform the story. All the characters speak in the same breathy voice that I have seen described in other reviews as "a whisper", and when she does attempt an accent, its painful.

I really miss the old reader, who gave the characters distinct voices that were easily recognizable.

Contrary to how it may seem, I mean no offense to Alex Lee, I enjoy her reading the "Tommy & Evelyn Christie Mystery" series. I think her voice fits those sleepy stories perfectly. Maybe because shes been the narrator since the start of the series,

However having said that, "Redmond and Haze" is a much edgier series, and having listened to the first ten books in this series, performed by someone who created such distinctive, emotionally charged voices, I find I am really struggling with whether or not to continue with what had become my absolute favorite series.
