About this listen
Mr. Pin, a rock-hopper penguin from the South Pole, loves to solve mysteries in the windy city of Chicago. There’s only one thing Mr. Pin likes better—eating yummy chocolate. That’s why his detective office is in the back room of Smiling Sally’s Diner, where the chocolate syrup is stored. With the help of his young friend Maggie, and tasty candy snacks, he makes Chicago a safer place.
Late one night, Berta, the famous opera singer comes to Mr. Pin’s office. She’s afraid that someone wants to kidnap the conductor. Mr. Pin and Maggie hurry to the theater to gather clues. Suddenly fog swirls over the stage. When the air clears, the conductor is gone! Will Mr. Pin be able to find him?
In this delightful sequel to The Mysterious Cases of Mr. Pin, Mr. Pin provides thoughtful lessons about friendship while he follows the chocolate trails in two puzzling cases. Narrator John McDonough’s warm voice makes Mr. Pin’s humorous adventures even more entertaining for young listeners.

Ellingham Academy is a famous private school in Vermont for the brightest thinkers, inventors, and artists. It was founded by Albert Ellingham, an early 20th century tycoon, who wanted to make a wonderful place full of riddles, twisting pathways, and gardens. "A place", he said, "where learning is a game."
