About this listen

Martin Stillwater has a vivid imagination. It charms his loving wife, delights his two little daughters, and gives him all the inspiration he needs to write his highly successful mystery novels. But maybe Martin’s imagination is a bit too vivid.

One rainy afternoon, a terrifying incident makes him question his grip on reality. A stranger breaks into his house, accusing Martin of stealing his wife, his children—and his life. Claiming to be the real Martin Stillwater, the intruder threatens to take what is rightfully his. The police think he’s a figment of Martin’s imagination. But Martin and his family have no choice but to believe the stranger’s threat. And run for their lives. But wherever they go—wherever they hide—he finds them.

Didn't expect the end

even though this book is a few years old, I still liked some of the scientific stiff even if it's not necessarily true... was a good ending

Another Thriller from Koontz Fertile Mind

A mystery to me is just how Dean Koontz continues to grab such fertile theses from the ether and write such gripping stories around them.

Koontz fans will be satisfied while haters may find a bit more tedium and repetition in this opus.

🌟🌟I Hope I Don’t Have An “Alfie” Out There Looking 4 Me!!🌟🌟

Mr. Murder
by: Dean Koontz

So, I give Mr. Murder 4 shooting stars. I would classify this (audio)book as a Suspense/Thriller with a splash of Horror & Si-Fi thrown into the mix.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. It had what I felt was good character development, with enough suspense & action to hook me in and keep me on the line. I especially loved how Marty kept his girls entertained and worry-free before bedtime, with stories written specifically for them. I did hold back a star because often times I find that Dean Koontz can get a bit carried away by adding unnecessary parts to the book. For me, that only lengthens the book, and not in a good way. With this I start to drift off and lose interest altogether.

Jay O. Sanders did a phenomenal job narrating Mr. Murder and gets 5 shiny stars from me. I wouldn’t hesitate in choosing/listening to another audiobook that he narrates.

very admirable performance and story.

Dean Koontz delivers once again. Admirable story line and very good audible performance. Definitely makes one think twice about having an evil twin in the world

Decent

Decent, definitely not his best work. It started real slow and I caught myself zoning out and having to back up and have another go. By the time I got to the middle is was moving right along, I found myself really looking forward to listening. The end was great! Mr Koontz pulled it off. Overall not his best but it was still worth the listen.

It was intense!

I really think the narrator is SO GREAT! The story was ok. It was pretty brutal. Absolutely, NOT the best Dean novel. But, worth the listen.

Koontz writes like no other!

His creativity knows no bounds. I’ve read the paperback version twice prior to listening to it, I am now an audible only kind of man!!

Worthy read!

I have read all of Mr Koontz' works. Although not my favorite and slow at the start, this book really kicked into nail biting reading in the second half. Appropriate for election years especially, it really makes you wonder and question. As a nation we should always pay attention to what is going on in our government to protect our many freedoms.
