Great story

Enjoyed the story and characters! Keep them coming, but wish the whole story was in one book.

I couldn't shut it off!!

I just love the story thus far, and I'm on my way to buy the rest of the series next. I have to know what happens next!
I was caught off guard by the youthful sound of the narrator at first...but then I warmed right up to it. He did a great job and I can't wait to finish the books!

First in a new Terrifying Series

This is the first book in a new series from author Tom Lyons. Sharing his story has led to others willing to share their encounter tales. The shorter tales are found in the Bigfoot and Dogman Frightening Encounters books. This is the first book in a new adventure, similar to Tom's encounters. A young man receives an opportunity of a lifetime, picked by a teacher to participate in an overseas exchange program, all expenses paid. That fabulous opportunity is derailed when his elderly grandfather is injured and needs care. Since his parents cannot go, he volunteers to care for his grandfather, who he barely knows. If you are a cryptid fan, you already see the signs of who else frequents this area. At this point, the grandfather does want to tell the young man anything is happening. We know that will change. Narration is rote with some sound issues, echoes in several sections.

Stops mid (or pre-mid) plot

The story is a good start to a story. It has a good opening and keeps you interested then abruptly ends without fully developing the story or coming to any resolution. A boy goes to his grandfather's house, heard some noises, meets a girl. The end. And I mean literally he meets a girl. Doesn't get to know her, make friends...he meets her and it ends. The noises he hears - nothing comes of them, nothing escalates. He does ponder what they could be but that's the extent. I enjoyed listening but was really disappointed the way it ended. Like when someone stops talking in mid sentence. Not worth spending a whole credit on.
There are other books in the series and I'd like to read them and see if together they make a complete plot but I really don't want to have to spend a bunch of credits to get a single story. On the upside the purchase price (not using credits) is pretty cheap so I'd go that route if you really want to listen.
