About this listen
This gentle birdsong was recorded in early hours of the morning when the sun rays begin to warm up the temperate forest of Yosemite region. The birds are waking and beginning their morning singing to set themselves for a beautiful new day, to share their good vibes with their neighbours and to warm up their wings and spirits.
Join this delicate melodious world and it will boost your energy, mood and even cognitive abilities. Whether you are waking up just like these beautiful birds or need a moment of peace and mindfulness, this audio recording will take you to this magical world of temperate forests. Birdsong relaxes physically and stimulates cognitively at the same time. People find birdsong relaxing and reassuring because over thousands of years they have learnt when the birds sing they are safe. This natural soundscape is productivity boosting and can be used at work to help focus, improve cognition and reduce tiredness. Gentle birdsong also masks unwanted background noise, hum, and conversation which will help with reduction of tension and stress.
Here's a selection of individual birds you may be able to hear in this recording: Blue Jay, Pine Siskin, Red Crossbill, Blue Grouse, American Robin, Pacific Wren, Wilson's Warbler, Bald Eagle, Northern Flicker, Steller's Jay, and a variety of smaller ground and aerial forest creatures and plants.

Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Story
In Your Brain Is a Time Machine, brain researcher and best-selling author Dean Buonomano draws on evolutionary biology, physics, and philosophy to present his influential theory of how we tell and perceive time. The human brain, he argues, is a complex system that not only tells time but creates it; it constructs our sense of chronological flow and enables "mental time travel" - simulations of future and past events.

His subjects include the largely forgotten female pioneer who introduced smallpox inoculation to Britain, the infamous knockout drops, the first antibiotic, which saved countless lives, the first antipsychotic, which helped empty public mental hospitals, Viagra, statins, and the new frontier of monoclonal antibodies. This is a deep, wide-ranging, and wildly entertaining book.

Only marred by the opening and closing bumpers
I really enjoy these Cetus soundscapes. My only complaint is the Audible intro and outro bumpers that wake up my wife, and sometimes me, when I use them as sleep White Noise.
Without it, they would be perfect.

Many sing-song chirps
This was nice to think along with. I tried to pick out different birds, but they were a jumble of pretty notes and sharps.

Very relaxing birds
I have a hard time getting out of my head. When I can listen to all the birds I start to think about them instead of my problems. What kind of birds are those? Are any of them colorful? They have their own bird families and problems just like me? Bird sonder. Anyway it’s good. 10/10. They just need to release the night critters version and I’ll lose my mind!
