Publisher's summary

Cora Taylor disappeared 54 years ago, and no trace of her was ever found. Now her sister has enlisted the help of Andrea Flynn and Kathleen Williamson in finding out what happened to Cora. The two are known for their ability to solve cases that are puzzling the police, and Mary Taylor is confident they can uncover Cora’s fate. Andrea and Kathleen are doubtful they can find the answer Mary is looking for, but they decide to try. They start researching, and the case becomes more complicated when someone who was close to Cora, a likely suspect in her disappearance, is murdered.

The more the sister sleuths investigate, the more complex the situation becomes. How did expensive jewelry end up in Cora’s possession? Who knew moonflowers were poisonous and stole them from Andrea’s deck? Was the Mafia involved somehow, and what about the accusations against a jealous wife? And when a second suspect is murdered, are the sisters and Mary in danger, too?

Finally in their hometown!

I've been traveling in my mind with these two sisters since the first book and am so glad I got to hear about their hometown. The story was great, with all the twists I've come to expect. My only complaint is the narrator. I really wish the narrator from the first book had done all others as well. A great read to keep you entertained, with the mystery and quiet intellect is just fantastic!

Cold case in West Virginia

This is the fourth in the series and is not set in Canaan Valley. The sisters are in their neck of the woods in West Virginia looking into the disappearance of Cora Taylor who has been missing for 54 years. A real cold case.

There were plenty of suspects, twists and turns to keep me interested. I found the information on the jewelry fascinating.

I thought the narrator did a good job to enhance the story. She used many different inflections to portray the various characters.

Looking forward to the next book on audio.

The past effects the future

Moonflowers is Book 4 of the Moon Mystery Series by Helen Haught Fanick. Cora disappeared 54 years ago. May hired sisters Andrea and Kathleen. This began a mystery and new murders. I thought Moonflowers was excellent with marvelous characters. The mystery was interesting. Elizabeth Arendale was outstanding as the narrator. I think book 4 just might be my favorite in this series. Moonflowers is an enjoyable audio book.

Excellent!

This story adds to both Andrea's sleuthing reputation AND Helen Haught-Fannick's excellent writing skills. It is just as good as the previous books in this series. Elizabeth Arendale's interpretation of our two sisters' and their fascinating abilities returns them to more refined characters. Something I had become accustomed to in the first couple of books. All around great job!!!

Wonderful story!

Moonflowers is #4 in the Moon Mystery series by Helen Haught Fanick. Andrea Flynn and Kathleen Williamson are sisters living in a small West Virginia town with talent and passion to solve mysteries. Their friend Mary Taylor asked Andrea and Kathleen to find out what happened to her sister who disappeared 54 years ago. There are a lot of twists snd turns, funny moments and a good solid mystery. The characters are likable and relatable. The narration by Elizabeth Arendale is great. She brings the characters and story to life!

great read

This was one exciting journey. I had no idea who done it. What a cast and the possible suspects!!!
This got my brain firing on all cylinders until the end. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Dull Prose, Boring Plot, and Monotone Narration

Listen to this if you want to be put to sleep by the monotone narration, devoid of emotion. The prose is flat, colorless and uninspired, boring in the minutiae the author mysteriously thinks is interesting -- and isn't. And the plot is just boring like the rest of this novel.
