About this listen

Bronwynn Prescott Pierson had certainly made a mess of things. She'd left a disloyal groom at the altar, driven to Vermont, and now stood, near-tears, on the steps of a ramshackle Victorian house in her satin wedding gown.

When a gorgeous man emerged from the woods, she didn't know whether to chase him away with a stick or run into his arms. The beautiful redhead with the lost-fawn look in her eyes seized Wade Grayson's heart in a flash and convinced him she needed a keeper, but Bronwynn vowed she was swearing off men for at least a year - and besides, a stuffed-shirt politician with no sense of adventure was definitely not for her.

Wade figured her for a frivolous heiress, yet he found the temptress with the legs of a goddess utterly enchanting. She stole his cigarettes, dared him to climb trees, and freed his spirit to fall in love. But could they find a place to bridge their worlds and cherish each other for always?

Nothing Exciting

Would you try another book from Tami Hoag and/or Jen Taylor?

Tamy is a vert good writer. But I did not see the purpose of the goat in thevstory. I didn't care for Jen Taylor's impersonation of the congressman because her voice made him sound like a drug addict or a beach bum instead of a congressman.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not sure yet

What didn’t you like about Jen Taylor’s performance?

I did not like Jen Taylor's performance in this story

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Mismatch?

I would replace the goat with a dog

Any additional comments?

This story was very different from the other books I have listened to by this writter. Not as interesting.

Pathetic

I have read and enjoyed Hoag books and thought I'd get another good airplane read. This book is pathetic; I could have written it. Hackneyed plot - totally predictable...shallow, predictable characters, puerile dialogue. I had it in the paper version and threw it away. I'm not even going to finish listening to it...maddeningly terrible. What was Hoag thinking?!
