Publisher's summary

Was it possible that there was a man out there who could see past Lenny’s damaged body and soul, and want to claim him as his?

Lenny has suffered things that no person should have to endure. With that comes health issues that impact on how he sees himself, leaving him feeling isolated.

That is, until a chance meeting.

The world that Lenny understands is now spinning in a different direction, and he isn't sure whether to hold on or let go. Never having had anyone to catch him before, can he trust Nathan?

Can an introduction into a BDSM lifestyle be everything Lenny didn’t know he needed, as he discovers being a virgin is not always a bad thing?

Mine, Body and Soul is the first part of a three-part story in The Playroom Series. This is a slow burn MM gay romance, with an age gap and a sexual awakening.

Warning: This book has a HFN ending. There are also aspects of childhood trauma touched upon briefly.

good start

Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Were there any parts I found annoying: no
Did I feel a connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: yes

JP Sayle is a new author for me. Mine, Body and Soul has good pace, interesting characters and sets up what looks to be an enjoyable and interesting series. I liked that both M'C's have flaw's, that Nathan is considerate of Lenny's innocence and that Lenny, although having had a hard start in life isn't jaded and angry - every kid needs a Nellie!. I would have liked a little more character building, but I expect this will come as the series progresses. I look forward to future instalments.

I think Matt Haynes has done a good job bringing the characters to life. I had no problem distinguishing who was speaking and enjoyed the audio experience.

Loved !

This audio was amazing! The book was wonderful just by its self and now adding the narrative to it is just out of this world. Matt's voice for the characters was just perfect! Such a wonderful job I can not say enough good things! Awesome!!

Scarred Together

Both author and narrator are new to me, so I went in a little blind. And oh my gosh I’m glad I gave it a shot!

The story was well-written, and the characters loveably broken. I’m so excited for the next book!

Mine, Body and Soul

Two men each with their own troubles to deal with find themselves drawn to one another. Can they find the strength to trust and the faith to give their hearts? This is an intriguing and engaging story that pulls you in. Lenny is a young man who is finding his way and Nathan is the man he wants to lead him. This was a nice introduction to these characters, and it was nice to see the beginnings of what could be a relationship between the two. I liked that these men were not perfect and that their flaws were not shied away from. Narrator Matt Haynes does a nice job of giving the characters and the story personality. This is a sweet beginning for these men, and I am eager to see just where they go from here.

It's good

The story is good, but beware it does end on a cliffhanger.

Lenny, due to circumstances as a child, has some health problems and thus far no one has been able to see past that. That is until he meets Nathan.

Nathan has scars of his own and a burning need to claim Lenny as his own, but Lenny knows nothing of the BDSM lifestyle and although Nathan is hesitant to show him, his passion over rules him.

Lenny gets his break

After a rough hard beginning in life, it was good to see Lenny get a break in life and love . I enjoyed meeting a lot of wonderful characters that I look forward to following in this series. I love a good underdog story, and this is one to read. The story is not without obstacles and complications, but the end is a great starting point. I can't wait for more of Lenny's training with Nathan. I look forward to seeing how the dynamics of their relationship progresses. The narrator's voice and expressions added to my enjoyment of this story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review. I like that both mc gave physical flaws. It adds to the reality of the story.

life after pain

love the banter between Lenny and his boss Carl, thay act like brothers.
when the prologue started I thought that this book was going to be about Lenny and his struggles, but as it went on I knew I was going to enjoy it.
the kitchen scene had be laughing.
Imagine meeting someone at first sight and knew you would never forget that person, that is what I think Nathan felt. Lenny and Nathan's life before hadn't been smooth, maybe this is the beginning of better days.
Thank you JP Sayle for a great read. looking to more in the series.

Absolutely LOVE this story

Both author and narrator are new to me, so I wasn't sure what to expect. What I didn't expect was to be BLOWN AWAY! Seriously the plot, characters and message were perfect, and the narrator really brought it all to life beautifully. This is an absolute MUST listen, you won't be disappointed. I'm looking forward to listening to more stories by this author and narrator :)

Wow

I was unsure if I would like this sorry because of the hard lives of the two men but was so surprised this sorrywas not at all what I thought it would be and so enjoyable. The characters did have hard lives but both are amazing characters. The narrator did a outstanding job making theses characters interesting and exciting. Am waiting impatiently for part 2 . Sooo excited.

Great start to the series

Another great book by Sayle. I did have to skim past a page every now and then when Lenny was talking about his Stoma. No offense. I applaud the author for taking on a sensitive topic and applaud anyone that has to go through that. I just have a weak stomach when bodily functions are mentioned so I had to skip over those parts but otherwise I loved everything about this book. All the characters were very likeable and well developed. The 2 MCs had great chemistry and the plot was interesting the whole way through. This was very well written. There was no angst and almost no heat and I didn't even mind. I found the story to be very heartwarming and I am going to dive right into the next one.

I enjoyed the story the 2nd time around just as much as the first time. The narrator Matt Haynes did a great job. He has a great reading voice/accent. He keeps good pace and expresses the emotions really well. He did use slightly different voices for the characters to tell them apart.
