About this listen

Almost everyone has heard Martin Luther King’s name. He organized and led marches in support of African Americans’ rights. King was against racial discrimination and segregation. This was the era when, in the South, Whites and African Americans were divided in everything - schools, churches, neighborhoods, and even hospitals.

Inside, you’ll listen about:

  • Birth of a Legend
  • Ministry and the Start of the Struggle
  • Fighting the Good Fight
  • The March on Washington
  • Saint Augustine, Florida - 1964
  • Selma
  • Chicago and Vietnam
  • Assassination
  • Legacy
  • And much more!

From his story come lessons of perseverance, patience, determination, and grace, as well as the fact that even legends are still human beings with flaws.

Never heard an author read a legacy more elegantly

Never knew how philosophical MLK was! The letter he wrote from the Birmingham jail blew me away so much that I read it over and over right after hearing it the 1st time! The author painted the picture that MLK's delivery style was as poetic as Shakespeare, with the elegance of Ralph Waldo Emerson and as innovative to critical thinking philosophy as Rene' Descartes.. GENIUS and INSPIRING 🙌🏿✊🏿🤗
