Twelve women connected by the death of another, realizing what they most want from life and reaching for it - this is the year of discovery, the year of new beginnings.
Lexie had a family and a future she thought was set, then a burst appendix changed everything. She found herself battling prescription drug addiction, until she lost her husband and her daughter. Trying to put back the pieces, she discovers the biggest obstacle is her own self-doubt, but Lexie must find a way to overcome it or lose her daughter forever.

Another fantastic collaboration with M.L. Hamilton’s writing and Kelley Hazen’s narration! I’m so looking forward to seeing what’s to come in April.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

As with the first 2 books, this is a well narrated and interesting listen. This one hit a bit close to home for me, though. I don't say that as a bad thing, just that it reminded me of growing up with a mother addicted to drugs, both prescribed and not. This book really evoked a strong emotional reaction from me. That was unexpected and I found I struggled to finish the book because of it. Again, I don't say that as a criticism, rather a description of my experience. In fact, it takes a rare talen to be able to tell a story that can bring emotions to the surface like that.
