Amazing!
This is amazing! Takes you back in time, and sets you right amongst the Puritans, and what their lifestyle was like. An awesome, powerful, love story! The narrator makes it a great listen!
I will listen to this one again and again!

excellent read
I really enjoyed Love's Pursuit. It has a well defined plot and great character development. Historical fiction is a favorite of mine and Siri Mitchell does a fantastic job with this one. I did not want the story to end. In fact if I was to have a negative comment about this book it would be that the book could have used a couple more chapters :)!

Liked story..not narrator
The narration was difficult. Narrator not very skilled in changing character's voices. I did enjoy the story enough to go right back to listen to a second time. Was better second time around.

Love's Pursuit takes place in Massachusetts during the Puritan era. Romantic Christian Fiction. Story is very good. Poor audio quality. Poor narration.

Love's Pursuit
This is the best audio book I have ever heard. Having hundreds of audibles and thousands of books, plus a degree in English Lit., you can trust me. Unforgettable.

Sorry, it's a 'No' from me - story too slow
I'm sorry I just didn't much like this, I found it hard to listen to all the Puritanical references and quotes and the storyline seemed to go on and on and on without anything much happening. I understand S.M. is a Christian novelist so I should have expected this (I am a Christian too) but it was like watching a flower very slowly opening it's petals but the bloom just wasn't worth the wait.
The narrator found it hard to change her voice with each character which didn't help.
Worth the credit? No, not mine but if you, like other listeners, like the sound of this type of book - then go for it with my blessings!!

On the Wrong Shelf for Christian Romance
I have loved the Siri Mitchell books I've read even when they float into the mainstream genre. I hoped the women in Love's Pursuit would walk the faith story more fully. The problem could be the audio version jumps point of view without warning. The Puritan life and faith in this time period are difficult to show. In the Messenger, Siri Mitchell does an excellent job of finding the plumb line of Jesus. In this Puritan faith it didn't developed for me. The major reason for Love's Pursuit being shelved wrong is in the conclusion-- the one thing romance readers cannot easily accept. I won't be a spoiler. After all that is an opinion only. But I'm a happy ever after reader. Siri Mitchell remains on my top ten author list.
