Publisher's summary

Rex Walker used the second Bridge, and what he discovered will forever change humanity. Under the duress of Earth’s destruction, he finds a way home, and he’s not coming alone.

The Believers are fervent, hell-bent on guiding the incoming ships to fulfill their destiny, and the cult’s wide-spanning reach quickly becomes evident. Politicians, renowned corporate leaders, and countless others take to the field in collusion with their secretive collaborators.

Rex and Dirk are forced to make a decision that will alter Earth’s fate. One choice will result in their destruction, the other to redemption, but from their vantage point, the lines are blurred.

All paths collide in an epic conclusion you’ll never see coming.

Lost Hope completes the sweeping tale of The Bridge Sequence, by best-selling author Nathan Hystad.

jumping everywhere

a very good story al though I wasn't a big fan of the ending. I feel like they did to much jumping around but still a great story.

Great read

Sadly this seems to be the end of Rex's story...for now at least. This was the best listen out of the series.

Excellent

Great narration as always by Ray Porter.

I love aliens and this book had the good kind and the bad, so, exactly what I needed. There were also some adventure like escapades of hunting for ancient alien artefacts which I absolutely love as a story on their own. Indiana Jones meets Stargate command. Brilliant idea.

The series (3 books) had everything I look for in a science fiction book. At no point did the story get boring, despite it stretching for three books. I liked how the second book was not on Earth (at least in the beginning). This made the narrative fit and explained a lot of what was going on during the first book.

Easy listening right before you go to sleep. Hopefully you don't start fighting aliens like I did in my dreams. No, it's not scary, I just have a wild imagination.

the typical ending to a typical story

as I started a book one it was okay but two I was slightly invested in the characters wanted to see what happens to them book three you see what happens to them and nothing special somewhat happily ever after and ending.

Great Conclusion

Loved this book and the rest of the trilogy. This was a great read and my book club and I loved breaking up each book into 5 chapters a week it really kept us on the edge of our seats. Ray Porter is the perfect narrator we’ve gone for other books because of how great he is. If you’re into a conspiracy science fiction book that gets larger and larger every book then I would suggest this trilogy.

Alot of twists. A good storyline.

I liked it. A solid story with a lot of surprises. I didn't understand why Rex was teaching "theoretical" alien studies (like anyone doubted that the attack was ETs). It was like, Oh a bunch of ships arrived and millions are dead but I can't teach about alien studies in fact because everyone would laugh at me and I might get fired.
