It’s not that the book is terrible, it was actually interesting. It’s a little wishy washy, that keeps you wondering about what’s really going on. But the ending could’ve been better. It wasn’t a cliffhanger, it was just incomplete. No meaningful ending which gave the whole story a bland taste. No closure for filler characters. Could’ve been better.

I read the reviews and I thought it would have a bad ending. I have a hard time starting a new book especially when it was a good one, but this book grabbed me from the start to the finish. The ending was fine I didn’t want it to end. But I feel my questions were answered, for the most part anyways. Good book, Irecommend it.

It took me a minute to get into this book, but once I had I did not regret it at all. I found myself holding my breath in anticipation!

The beginning is very slow and dragged on. I think it has a good plot but I need more answers. Why did her husband want to keep her at the hospital? Were her boys actually changed or was she mentally ill? When did Lauren get out of the hospital? How did the bodies found in the lake die?

I had no idea how amazing this book was it's been along time since I listened to a book that had me still guessing with 15 mins left! Amazing

Surprisingly awesome!

The writing and narration was fantastic! But the plot was a bit boring for me. No twist or turns or unexpected endings. I found myself a little bored with it, just waiting for it to be over.

I downloaded this book on a whim, and WOW I’m so glad I did! The book is written with a brilliant voice and pace. I listen while I work and seriously I would have happily worked late just to keep listening. There were multiple points in the book where I changed my position on characters, re-evaluated everything I thought I knew, and I loved that! Even with the book complete I’m still no CERTAIN of what I know or don’t know, and while that can be frustration, it’s frustrating in the best way!! Greedily I wish the book would have had at least another 1/2 hr and given me a bit more closure...but maybe part of the fun is that you don’t get a tidy little bow wrapping it all up. Rather you get a few scraps of dirty rags and you’re ask to do the tying up yourself!

Don’t miss out on this intense and compelling read!

Loved it! The narrator(s) was awesome and the story line kept me fully engaged. Great book!

I really enjoyed listening to this and the performance was outstanding. I enjoyed the story and the folklore. I only wanted a little more in the ending......SPOILER






I wanted a more conclusive, satisfying ending as to her husband and his failings being revealed. I wanted more vindication for her. The ending was realistic as to what would probably happen in reality, but I hated that she was still being punished while he could go on as normal and continue to be an unfaithful and selfish jerk.
