I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it took me back to a time before me into slavery. It educated me as well as entertained me in a way that kept me wanting more. The narrator was excellent and the story flowed at a well paced tempo. I give this book a thumb up! 2 thumbs up!

The history and the love that would last through eternity. The greed, mixed with love hostility. Just a great book. Again a classic example of how you just never know what the future holds for you.

I never really knew the history of New Orlean in the days of slavery. so it was a huge history lesson for me
