An Exciting Listen

I really enjoyed all the imagery crafted throughout this story. The dress itself is a fascinating concept and I couldn’t wait to see all the ways it could be used. I was not disappointed!

I WANT THAT DRESS

I'll never look at a little black dress the same way again. Kim Black knows how to create believable characters and develop a story that keeps you going until the very last page. The Audible version is amazing. I am in awe of how one narrator can capture so many voices for one story. I am a Texas girl so I appreciate how the narrator created Evan's voice. Besides having female and male voices, there were characters from other countries. Great job Kim and Lilian Wouters.

Spy thriller with an interesting fashion twist

Thoroughly enjoyed this spy thriller with an interesting fashion twist. All the aspects of the international fashion scene tied to an interesting technological twist. Story was face-paced and kept me interested. Characters were interesting, especially the female leads, Evan and Eleanor and the snotty Russian models. A little added potential romance on the side. Narrator did an excellent job of voice variations for all the different characters and accents required from the international list of fashionable characters. Am interested to see how this group tackle their next assignment.

James Bond has nothing like the Little Black Dress

What a joy to find a suspense story with grand technology a twist you can enjoy! Little Black Dress is a tale of a high-tech weapon that every woman ought to own, and likely to make James Bond envious. Kim Black has created a world with great technology, espionage, murder, Paris in all its glorious fashion and wealthy celebrities, where a covert agent with a top-secret wardrobe and government men supporting her every move as she infiltrates the world of a fashion designer with secrets of his own. I love the Texas accent that the audio narrator Lillian Wouters does so well. Finally, a heroine I could be friends with, if I could borrow the dress some night...

Nancy Drew Would be so Jealous

of the Little Black Dress.Evan Tyler is part tough-as-nails CIA agent, part femme fatale, and part girl next door. Kim Black does a wonderful job of weaving the three personas into a heroine for our time. Little Black Dress (I won't tell you all its secrets and spoil the fun of reading about it) is a wonderful diversion from humdrum. My only complaint was that the ending dragged a bit, but by then, I was so hooked, I didn't really care. So glad this a part of a series.
