Acerca de esta escucha

I walk in darkness, but there is light in the darkness - a light only I can see.

Caden helped Jonas through the rough times, the lonely times, and the times Jonas needed someone to love and someone to love him back. The only problem was that Caden was imaginary - at least until Jonas spotted him in the cafeteria of Verona High School.

When Jonas recovers from his shock, he is determined to meet the boy who was once nothing but a fantasy but is obviously quite real. Soon Jonas learns something about Caden, something disturbing, something that changes everything. Does Jonas have the courage to reach out and brave the unknown, or will he risk losing what might be his only chance at happiness?

Light in the Darkness is a story of longing, fear, acceptance, and love.

I've always loved the Gay Youth Chronicles by Mark A. Roeder. As with all of his books I've laughed, cried, gotten pissed off, rolled my eyes, and felt heartbreak. Good story line as always dealing with the daily struggles of Gay Youth/Coming of age. Having said that, I've always felt that a narrator can make or break a book. With this book I felt like I was listening to an old Radio broadcast of Dragnet. The narrator sometimes making teen boys sound like a much older man with a smoking problem.

Gay Youth Chronicles continues.
