Following their emergence into a foreign and hostile land, survivors strive to cross the barren country, many intercepted by the darkness which has thundered out of the gates. I'm posting this despite not being allowed to buy credits or even return books by audible. I feel like the last part was rushed and could have used more details, especially regarding the deal between Elohim and Death. I found Lucifer's motives frankly to be sympathetic and I'm glad he wasn't a cartoon villain. Michael was a total badass thankfully. The part the bothered me was when Death literally stole that baby and a ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION WAS GIVEN BY MICHAEL! Total dick move on heaven's part.

As with all of John O’Brien’s books, this book, Risen is an intense thriller that will not disappoint. This book will have you cheering for the good guys and hoping for the demise of the bad. With John‘s writing style he never disappoints, this book will have you totally captivated and wanting more. For a very good read I highly recommend this book and this series. Once you blow through this one I also recommend that you research John’s other writings. You won’t regret it.

Hold on to your seat, it’s going to be a wild ride.

I have been holding on from listening to this because I knew it ended the series and I dont think I wanted it really to end because I enjoyed the story. I wish there was more explanation of certain parts but I really am glad I got to hear this book and see how most of the characters turn out. Thanks John, cant wait for the next book and series.
