🎙️ WOW, JUST WOW!

🎶

Written in the form of rap/poetry and accompanied by music, we are witness to a purgatory trial of Martin Luther [he believes he should be in heaven.]

I am not a student of Martin Luther so I cannot comment on the accuracy of the account. However, I can comment on the fantastic performance! I'm usually not the fan of lyrical, song repetition and/or music in my audiobooks (or in life, in general.) HOWEVER, this must be where all of them come together in a perfect performance. This is so unexpected and I am truly impressed.

Great - 4 star writing and a fantastic performance by all involved. 4.75 stars, overall 5 well-deserved stars. I'm amazed that I am writing this (given my reasons above) I hope to have the opportunity to listen to the next installment.

This was different

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I think if it wasn't done in episodes and was all together I might recommend it to my friends. I know a lot of audio listeners but they might not want to just listen to a book that is only about a half hour long.

Would you recommend The Revelation to your friends? Why or why not?

I kind of thought the hip hop musical vibe was kind of cool.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't heard of any of them before this and I am amazed at how many narrators went into only a half hour audio.

Any additional comments?

This was very different than any audio I have ever listened too. It is done as sort of a musical and the music is hip hop, so I can see it not being for everyone and it was kind of different listening to an audio being rapped at some points...lol. Most of the music wasn't to bad though I am not a hip hop listener. Martin Luther is in purgatory and he doesn't understand why he didn't go straight to heaven since he was a priest. So he finds himself in some sort of court to answer for crimes he has committed and a black stranger comes to be his lawyer. He doesn't think he needs him because he can do it himself but he lets him help. Since it was just the first episode I am curious how the rest of it might go.

Incredibly Unique

It is hard to review something like Legacy because there isn't really anything like it to draw a comparison.

Legacy is part old time radio program, modern hip hop, and audiobook. This is the type of project I really want to succeed because if it does it can open a whole new world of possibilities for musical theater and audiobook productions.

The story got me interested right away and I thought the 26 minutes blew right by. I found a lot of the songs to be catchy and thought there were some very funny moments as well.

Definitely interesting

Legacy was so much different than what we expected. It reminded me of Hamilton; however, not as thought out and executed as well. The effort on the author was truly remarkable and We're excited for this to potentially take off for November Christine. We're just not entirely sure if this material is right for us. The performances were high energy and really well played. There is just a lot of information covered in the 30 minutes that we lost focus on what the point of the story was. Again, we hope others will find this and enjoy it as much as we hope it has success and finds it's audience!
