Weed killing left out.

Wanted to know how to kill weeds and the book wasn’t clear enough. Other than that it was very informative. Started the book leaving Manchester, CT and finished outside of Dingsman Ferry, PA.

A must for any homeowner

I bought this randomly not expecting much from it and was pleasantly surprised. The writing of the book lends itself very well to an audio book format. The narration was by far the best I've heard from an audio book and really showed the emotion of the author very well. I'm not a huge lawn guy, but I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this book and actually retained a lot of the knowledge from the book. In fact I went from not caring too much about my lawn to being excited about it. Highly recommended for any house owner.

Repetitive, poorly edited

The book starts off great by describing the species of grass and how and where they are best used, but it very quickly becomes repetitive and very casual in tone. Organized loosely around the times of year, the same factoids about grass clipping, thatch, and fertilizer are repeated frequently, sometimes word for word. Critically absent are any descriptions to help identify fungus types or lawn diseases and how to treat them (some loose preventive tips are included in an unfocused form). The author also mentions they do not remember anything from their turf management courses, which is a very odd detail for an author to include in their book on lawn care.
